The ter'angreal to the Love Hut are such a great idea, but how did they get to Moiraine and Siuan's rooms without the White Tower knowing anything about them?

Let me tell you.

This story may include some spoilers about Moiraine's family

The ter'angreal to the Love Hut: the origins

As we know, after taking the shawl Moiraine begins to come and go from Tar Valon in search of the Dragon Reborn. A secret mission, which before bonding Lan, she shared only with Siuan, who however was forced within the walls of the White Tower.

As time passes, Siuan's relationship with Moiraine becomes problematic because more and more she has to answer the petulant questions from the other Sisters that want to know which affairs keep her pillow-friend around the world. In front of the White Tower that relationship must end and be quickly forgotten, so stop to their to well-known nocturnal meetings in their rooms and start the most complex machinations to be able to meet secretly somewhere every time Moiraine comes "home".

The situation is already tough and frustrating and Siuan's election to the  Amyrlin Seat is the finishing blow. It's the beginning of the drama. From that moment there is no excuse for their meetings, there is no place that can hide them anymore.

Moiraine is desperate, she starts wandering around the world looking for that damned brat like a fury: the sooner she can complete the mission the sooner she can go back to having a private life with Siuan, or at least that's what she hopes. But time passes and the Dragon Reborn can't be found.

One day, while she is visiting a Brown Sister who lives alone with her studies in a tiny village scattered between Illian and Altara, she finds out what can solve her love tribulations. Amethra, this is the name of the Brown Sister, shows her two incredible artifacts she has recovered, two ter'angreal able to create a gateway to another place accessible only through those objects themselves. Moiraine's enlightenment is instant: she will give one to Siuan and keep one for herself so they can meet whenever they want.

Moiraine is ready to leave to the White Tower with the loot, but Amethra holds her back with her endless, boring, damned explanations about the discovery, the history and usase of those paintings. Moiraine listens patiently, feigning interest and admiration too, while she thinks one thing only: Siuan.

Finally Amethra calms down, Moiraine flatters and dupe her in order to take her off the Ter'angreal, which absolutely must be preserved within the White Tower, for their safety, she says. Finally convinced the Aes Sedai, Moiraine runs to Tar Valon.

When she reaches her destination, however, she realizes that she certainly cannot bring those paintings to the Amyrlin Seat thinking that it will go unnoticed... Nor she can so serenely hang one in her room, since the fact that it is unadorned is a well known feature.

Panic.

Panic and frustration.

She has the solution to her tribulations right there and doesn't know how to use it. She finds no escape. She is about to give up and ask Siuan for help, she's the one good at puzzles, but for once Moiraine wanted to be the one who solved a problem and in the meantime surprise her with "romantic" implications, when suddenly the epiphany.

She runs to Caemlyn to her lovely family, specifically her beloved nephew Galad. After the usual and unnerving customary pleasantries, Moiraine hands him one of the paintings.

Moiraine: I have an important advice for Morgase, my dear: give her this painting and tell her to send it as a gift to the Amyrlin Seat to thank the White Tower for giving her the honor of having Elaida by her side. Don't bother telling her I told you.

Proud of herself, Moiraine comes back all pompous to the White Tower and hangs the other painting in her room telling anyone that it's a gift from her brother's wife so that she must hang it in her room.

That's it, now it's just a matter of time. But time passes and the gift for Siuan does not arrive.

Moiraine decides to enter the gateway.

She finds herself in her own room and Elaida is inside!

After a first shock, Moiraine realizes that Elaida thinks she is in a dream… a dream that happens to take place in her bedroom, what a coincidence. Resigned, she can do nothing but make the best of the bad situation and, when the woman approaches her in an unequivocal predatory attitude, she pretends to comply to let her believe that it is actually a dream, but at the first opportunity she knocks her out and runs away from the gateway leaving Elaida inside almost naked.

Moiraine: Siuan, I made a mess!

This is how she debuts as soon as she managed, not without difficulty, to obtain a short private audience with the Amyrlin Seat.

Upon hearing what had happened, Siuan bursts out laughing.

Then she turns serious and devises an intricate plan to steal the ter'angreal that has ended up in Elaida's clutches. It takes some time to put into action, but it works eventually. 

The time has come to use the ter'angreal for the purpose Moiraine has faced so many vicissitudes for. 

Siuan: Why didn't you come and talk to me right away?

Moiraine: I wanted to surprise you.

Siuan: Oh, you did! You don't know what I had to do to get rid of Elaida.

Moiraine: My plan was perfect!

Siuan: Sure, sure.

Moiraine: I'm serious, Siuan! I told Galad to give the painting to Morgase!

Siuan: Sure, sure.

Moiraine: Don't fool me!

Siuan: I would never do that, you little pufferfish.

Moiraine: You can't get away with that every time.

Siuan: Yes, I can. But now stop with the chatter. You took me to this wonderful hut, we are finally alone: ​​despite the mess you made, I really think I have to show you all my gratitude.
