i know finn is a great actor because when i was watching the hot ones interview, i really realized he is nothing like mike. like.. yeah of course he isn’t. but it was like… i realized there’s ZERO similarities despite it being the same face and body. his facial expressions (even his smile is different), his posture, his voice, his body language, how he speaks each word. it isn’t just the dialogue that differenates him from mike. he brings actual life to mike through microexpressions and viewing his character in a real way - he’s treating mike wheeler as if he’s a real human. everyone has their own little things they do that makes them them, and finn acknowledges that.

i need people to realize an actor doesn’t have to be sobbing on the ground or yelling to prove they’re a good actor. the biggest thing i learned that helped me spot a great actor is asking yourself if you see the character, or do you see the actor

i swear to god people need to learn the difference between ai generated voice and vocal synth. mastering the art of a vocal synth is hard. you have to tune that shit yourself. you have to edit the vocals and do it all yourself. it takes hours to get a synth to sing a song well. when people make covers of songs with miku they are not just imputing a song and boom she sings it. not like how people do with ai. also, vocal synths were created specifically to assist musicians who struggle with finding vocalists (hiring a vocalist is fucking expensive) or cant provide vocals on their own. vocal synths are instruments and tools that one needs to learn and master, and they get their voice providers from people who 100% consented to having their vocals used. hatsune miku is not ai. using vocaloid or synthv or utau is not anything like lazily ai generating a voice at all. grow the fuck up.

because here's the thing here's the thing the question was not "would you be more surprised to run into a fairy or a walrus" the question was "would you be more surprised to find a fairy or a walrus AT YOUR DOOR" and while no, i do not believe in fairies and would be surprised to know they EXIST i would NOT be surprised to find one at my door. HOWEVER, if a WALRUS shows up at my door i have to contend with the fact that a walrus somehow made it to my apartment specifically and knocked on my door for god knows what reason. i would be more surprised to know that a fairy EXISTS, of course, but NOT that they're at my door, do you get me?

dude we've GOT to start buying shit from niche specialist sites that look like they were made in 2004 again. i just got some tape for repairing books from this ugly ass website geared at libraries. tell me why they also sent me a free (really nice!) pen, a business card with an overexposed picture of a guinea pig standing on a book with the text "smile :-)", and a LOTTERY TICKET???
