Actual Childe headcanons because I'm insane from the mischaracterization on social media

Note : It's funny how most of my posts are just complaining about how poeple write the characters, but I swear that I am just passionate about love and I hate the way people portray some characters.

This will mostly be debunking the headcanons from tiktok tbh 😭 (this is x reader btw)

- He is NOT a kinky daddy who will call you a slut. This thing just drives me crazy, look at this man. He will be the GENTLEST lover you could ever get ffs. He'll treat you like a glass, once you are a part of his family he will literally turn teyvat downside up for you.

- He won't rape you and force you to have his children, this shit is the worst headcanon I ever saw here on tumblr and I saw a lot of fanfics with it. Like, how can you even think of that???? Why tf would you hc a character to be a rapist.

- Talking about children, yes he would want to have children with you but he won't. He is a harbinger, having kids would probably put them in risk and I don't think he would have enough time to take care of them, yes he has time to see teucer and the rest of his family, but they are siblings, they have their mother at home. Childe would have to be 24/7 with his kids and it would take time from his job and from seeing his family so absolutely no. This popular belief isn't bad and I like it but I just see no possibility of him actually having kids.

- and i'm kinda unsure about all that sparring thing, yes he is competetive and loves to fight, but honestly I don't know if he either would love to have a gentle spar with you or would never raise his finger at you even in a spar.

- and for gods sake, he is not a flirty pervert ☠️☠️ people saw him flirt like a few times and make him into some kind of horndog istg. I don't think he would flirt or tease you that much tho, i think these things are sort of playful things and if he takes your relationship seriously, he'd be afraid you won't like him.

- His mama raised him right, he absolutely acts like gentleman and lets you do anything to him. Open doors for you, takes your coat off, cooks for you and shit, he'd 100% would let you do his makeup. Tonia probably did that to him like 29483 times already.

- never does anything without consent, always makes sure you're alright with everything.

- now to the bad side of his because no one is perfect, I think he would isolate himself on bad day.

- He would tell you that everything is alright even if you see its not a true, which would make you guilty because he does a lot for you and doesn't let you do anything for him, he probably has no idea it hurts you.

- Would give you silent threatment if he is upset, he doesn't want to say anything he'd regret when he is emotional so he figures out it's better to ignore you.

so i have a mildly popular “reblog and put in in the tags” post going around and its. very clear how many people don’t know how to interact with a tumblr post

so, first of all, tumblr’s culture has changed a lot in the past couple years. there’s a genuine community effort to not start any drama, and ironically a lot of the current hostility is an effort to keep things calm. there’s also a change in how people interact with posts, so if you haven’t been here in a while please skip down to the tags/replies/reblog with text section.

for newcomers: you should be reblogging posts about as liberally as you would like something on twitter. if you only like stuff, people will think you are rude/a bot. you’ve probably heard people talk about “cultivating your dash,” and thats because this platform is 100% centered around your dashboard. trending matters less, unfollowing and blocking in order to shape your dash into it’s best form is widely accepted, the majority of the content you’ll find and interact with will be because of your dash, and the only way to put things on your dash is to reblog them. tumblr users are deeply distrustful of algorithms and have largely turned off the “see posts your friends have liked” function (i recommend you also turn of the various algorithms in settings → general settings → dashboard preferences).

so, once you’ve reblogged a post, there’s three ways to add content to it. the tags, replies, and reblogging with text. all of them have different connotations

the tags: an inside voice. originally they were meant for organizing your blog (and they’re still used for this), but they’ve also morphed into a way to share thoughts that aren’t funny/insightful enough for non-followers to be interested in. when in doubt, put your comment in the tags

replies: basically talking to your friends in class. your followers have no way of finding your replies (they don’t pop up on the dash, nobody gets notified except for the original poster) so chances are, only the person who made the post is gonna see your comment. it’s for quick one-offs that you’re okay with other people overhearing, but really is only made for one person. they’re like a public dm

reblog with text: an outside voice. you’re getting up on a stage in town square and entertaining people. make sure it’s funny or insightful— bottom line, add something new to the conversation. you should use this the least

general rules of thumb: 

when in doubt, reblog. people will judge you if your blog is only personal posts and you only interact with other content by liking it.  

the only things people will judge you for reblogging are personal vent posts. leave a like to give a little virtual hug

if a post is asking about your personality/opinions (i.e: tell me what’s the last tv show you watched, that kind of thing) put it in the tags 

also if you see a nice edit, gifset, or art, reblog and say something nice in the tags! it’s that nice sweet spot of common enough that no one will notice but uncommon enough to make the artist’s day

I love the hockey bros because they are like a bit Surfer Bros but more intended for the new generation!

LET ME EXPLAIN:

Brody and Raj aren't same! Geoff and Wayne not the same!

But they both love their bros as brothers and would do anything for them as long as they can somehow.

They might be oh jock and simple minded- lies by the media! (Someone how has been with or friends' jocks like surfer bros and hocky bros, they are well aware of their anger can be deathly/harmful!)

Come people! Like all that exercise, love of the sports, and a bit their core element to their personalities! Makes them fucking happy! They are train, seasoned to withstand harsh things and rivals, and can dependent on each other!

Raj can be his own person exactly like Brody can! But the chose to be by their bros side on all times out habit and closeness (Due to experience, I was the 'bro' on the side and the shadow like people didn't worry about my happy cheery blonde goofy ball friend on their own! They got worried when they realize they got worry about me and them because it's two of us if you go after one of us!)

Cold, training of hockey players, and the need to best as well as keeping the team on grounded sense as well as win makes you strong in many ways!

Hot sun, the threats of sharks, the ocean is dying, and hurricane season, swimming to surfing for hours makes you strong as shit and tired! But guess what my surf bros know how care for each other and be happy still. Would fight for each other when needed!

gang, i love these guys. duncan’s cute lil crop top, heather’s hair and general attitude, lindsay’s everything (i love how she turned out). i’m having so much fun with these designs.
