Today has been exhausting apparently. Lots of carrying things, lots of annoyances and little frustrations. At least it's over now.

Some headcanon for you that I recently hashed out: Keine does not actually know about the Big Secret Deal that overlays all of Gensokyo. That is to say, she doesn't know that Gensokyo's youkai actually aren't supposed to attack the villagers at all. In her mind, staying up late at night to defend village humans from potential youkai attack is a sensible thing to do - she doesn't realize how useless her actions actually are.

This is almost certainly going to cause a problem at some point in the future. That is, when she finds out the truth. She's going to be quite unhappy to find out all her work has done really nothing but entertain the power players. And she's definitely going to be unhappy that Akyuu didn't feel like trusting her with knowledge that is pretty damn relevant to her, a human-turned-youkai. And the longer Akyuu waits, the more unhappy she will be.

Now, while the amount of time it takes for her to find out does matter, the really big question that will determine her anger level is how she finds out. If she hears from Akyuu directly, or is told specifically by one of those power players, then she will still be angry about it but will ultimately have to admit that at least they told her at some point. On the other hand, if she finds out on her own... well, there will be a storm at the Hieda manor.

I'm impressed that you got the non-obvious one correct while missing the obvious one. The thing about Kagerou is, she knows the full moon cycle extremely well, she doesn't need to look at the sky for that. But with the mist in the way, she wouldn't transform at all. Which to her is pretty neat.

Damn, I thought there'd at least be some difficulty in guessing Shizuha. But yeah, that's right. Youmu's not in the same plane of existence, Reisen wouldn't really care much, the tengu would be fine with it, Kagerou and Momoyo would enjoy it, and the Undergrounders are, obviously, underground. So that just leaves Keine and Shizuha to be unhappy.

Apropos the Scarlet Mist incident, since it came up on the dash, I was thinking on how my various characters would have felt about it, and of them, only two probably would have had an actual negative opinion about it. Can you guess which two?

(Hint: For obvious reasons, it's not Sanae, Nue or Futo.)

"What matters is, we're fighting. Come on, Hakurei. Show me a good time here! Or be my next meal if you don't!" She heard the word fight. Momoyo is not going to back down.

"Yes, exactly! There is nothing evil about wealth! It's a pathway to fulfillment not an evil! The development of a deeper economic system within Gensokyo is the path to modernization and co-existence! It's the Tengu's currency that will bring us there! Moyo-hime, we're going to need to work together again."

"I uh. I don't really know what the relationship between the two of you is and I don't understand most of what you're saying here."

"But it looks like we're fighting."
