Chojuro lay restlessly in bed, his large frame shifting uncomfortably under the weight of his pregnancy. As Chojuro attempted to find a comfortable position, his baby moved again, a sharp kick followed by a flurry of intense punches. He winced, clutching his swollen belly, as if trying to soothe the incredible strength emanating from within. His brows furrowed in both pain and wonder, for despite the discomfort, he couldn't help but marvel at the sheer power of life growing inside him.

Chojuro traced his fingers against the thinly stretched skin of his belly, flushed red with stretch marks. Chojuro flinched as the baby once again punched at the soft skin of his belly, moving around restlessly.

Minutes turned into hours, and Chojuro's exhaustion grew alongside the baby's relentless acrobatics. Each twist and turn sent waves of pain coursing through his body. It was as if his child possessed the spirit of a warrior, determined to make its presence known. Chojuro understood the significance of such movements; they were signs of a healthy, vibrant life. But at this late hour, they tested his resolve and strength.

Silently, Chojuro slipped out of bed, careful not to disturb his partner's slumber. He wrapped a robe around his broad shoulders and tiptoed into the living room, where the moonlight filtered through the window, illuminating the room in a soft, ethereal glow. Sitting down on the couch, he cradled his swollen abdomen and whispered comforting words to his baby.

“Little one, you're a force to be reckoned with...” Chojuro murmured, a mixture of love and pain in his voice. “But please... For just a little while, let Papa rest... We'll have plenty of time to spar when you're born...”

His baby seemed to understand, if only in its own way. The movements slowed, and Chojuro let out a sigh of relief. He leaned back on the couch, closing his eyes, and let the serenity of the night wash over him. The rhythmic beat of his baby's heartbeat provided a lullaby, the sound a symphony of love and life.

In that moment, Chojuro found solace. Despite the discomfort and fatigue, he felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and awe. He had been chosen to be a vessel of life, a protector and nurturer of this precious being. And as the movements softened further, a sense of connection blossomed within him.

As the first rays of dawn began to break through the darkness, Chojuro rose from the couch and returned to bed. He slipped beneath the covers, pulling his partner close, and drifted off to sleep with a smile on his face.
