My Fairy Lady: Sophia & Augusta 1790's mini set

Sophia & Augusta, a mid-1790s dress, hair, and ribbon (hat) overlay for your sims in celebration of me reaching 500 Tumblr followers last week, which is very shocking considering I had around 110 in the middle of January, so thank you :)

There are scarcely any 1790s items in the sims, especially mid to late, so here you go! I also think I'm the first person to make a 1790s hair.

I used mesh pieces from @the-melancholy-maiden @buzzardly28 @javitrulovesims and @cringeborg to make all of this.

Augusta 1790s Dress works from about 1794-1799.

Sophia 1790s hair works from about 1791-1798 (and is 14k poly, sorry). Hair isn't really that compatible with other hats aside from this ribbon overlay.

BGC, hair has all natural swatches, ribbon overlay, and dress both have 30 swatches. Everything is found towards the bottom due to my display index (you should see my thumbnail)

With the dress, all the patterns are historically accurate for the time and most are striped as stripes were very popular for the latter half of the 18th century.

Current WIP - Château d'Arenenberg This is a building that I'm trying to recreate since my ts2 days and I'm finally getting happy with it! Its the château thats mostly associated with Hortense de Beauharnais - she lived here in exile and died here. Nowadays its a museum. I even started with the interior, at least as good as I can (nevermind most of the portraits, they are only placeholders)

Kerstin Evening Dress

A fashionable dress suitable for wild nights out and weddings alike, named after the most glamorous woman of all: my dog. Sort of inspired by a dress from Downton Abbey, but not really. Thanks to @mrtri91 for inspiring me to make it in the first place.

It's me again ! I won't rest easy until I'm done filling the gaps in my 1880s wardrobe and evening wear sure was a big one. So here, come and look at these 1870's / 1880's evening bodices, 4 of them ! You're welcome, just don't use them for gardening or the historical fashion police will be on your back ❤️

This set was inspired by 2 of Mary Cassatt's paintings : as referenced in the title, At the Theater, 1880 and Woman in a Loge, 1879.

——————— Plain and Bow Bodices ———————

These 2 bodice are the ones that are most inspired by Mary Cassatt's paintings, but it's also a style I've seen a bunch in other impressionist paintings of the time. It's a simple sleek bodice with off the shoulder sleeves and a low rounded collar as was fashionable in the late 1870s and early 1880s.

It is specially made to be worn over my bustle skirts. An overlay is included to change the bow's color.

1 -be aware there will be some distorsion in the armpit area, I did my best but armpit weights are tricky.

————————— Rococo Bodice —————————

This bodice like the name implies is inspired by Rococo fashion. The Rococo style dates back to the 18th century and it had a bit of a revival during the victorian era which impacted the fashion as much as furniture among other things. This influence, here, results in a squarish neck line and a triangle piece reminiscent of 18th century stomachers.

Like the the plain and bow bodices it has been specially made to be worn over my bustle skirts. An overlay is included to change the trim's color.

This bodice was mostly inspired by some fashion plates from 1880.

Contrary to the 3 others, I made it so it sits under the skirt, so it'll work with other bottoms than my bustle skirt too should you want to.

In addition to the flower accessories from my previous set, here is a boutonnière that sits lower on the chest to work with lower neck lines. Contrary to my previous boutonnière, this one is also compatible with necklaces. Like my other flower accessories, this is a pretty timeless accessory as evidence by the picture below.

Long time no post from myself. I made several attempts of buildings, but actually never bern satisfied enough to finish anything.

Till this weekend - I started another try on Marble House in Newport (currently obsessed with the second season of „Gilded Age“) and from what I can say now, I really like it.

So I can present you at least a bit of it by now. Exterior, hall and dining room are finished. The golden ball room just needs more furnishing and details

Trois femmes aux ombrelles

And we're back at the regular 1880's fashion with this set which inludes bustle skirts in 3 lenghts, 2 skirt overlays, 3 flower accessories, a parasol and an umbrella !

As referenced in the title, this set was inspired by Marie Bracquemont’s painting : Trois femmes aux ombrelles ou Les Trois grâces / Three Ladies with Parasols or Three Graces, 1880.

Once again, these skirts have a slight bustle shape which would best fit for the natural form era : roughly 1875 - 1883 ; (well actually, the size of the bustle is dependant on the size of the sim’s butt so do with that what you will). The are more ornate than my Cueillette skirts featuring some gathered layers and trims typical of the period, so they would be better suited for higher class people or more dressed up outfits.

And as always I give you 3 versions with each a different lenght to have more teen options and worker friendly options . The short one end mid calf, the medium one is ankle lenght and the long is full lenght.

To properly channel Marie Bracquemond's painting I needed a bunch of flower accessories so you will find 3 accessories in thhis set : a hair flower, a collar flower and a boutonnière. In my opinion these are pretty timeless and can suit a wide array of looks as portrayed in the pictures below.

Camille Dress

Sorry for the silence on my end, I had a lot of issues (flooding, tons of heat, etc), but now i'm enjoying a well deserved vacation and I had the time to finish this dress and a few other items (and good lord, simblreen is coming up too...)

So here is the Camille dress! This truly deserves the term "frankenmesh", since it contains parts of a dress of Sifix, of a shirt by Simverses, and by a dress by Linzlu! A big thank you to all these creators!

It's a day dress for your sims, good enough to spend a morning in it, or even to pay some calls to the neighbors!

Regency Hairs - Part 2

This is a mix'n'match set of afro-textured Regency hairstyles. I made 3 fronts and 3 buns and I couldn't decide which should go with which so I made 9 different hairs rather than decide! I'll include a full picture of them all at the bottom.

Each front has a name and the buns are 1, 2 and 3 so Grace2 is the Grace front with the second bun. All the hairs are hat compatible and also compatible with @gilded-ghosts's Woodhouse Bonnet (found here).

This next part probably won't make sense unless you are familiar with cc making. The first bun is an experiment of sorts because I needed to use the hat uv space to fit it all in which ought to make it incompatible for hats but I changed the Sort Layer to underneath where most hats are so that the hat will take priority of the space and be displayed above the hair, thereby making it hat compatible still. I have noticed some shadowing using some EA hats so it isn't a perfect fix but an interesting one nonetheless.

Louis-XV-Inspired Robe De Cour

A Maxis-Match Formal Court Gown

Hello my sweeties! I'm so proud to release this gown for all of your 18th-century saves. This has been in my WIP folder for so SO long, and after a bit of a hiatus from creating, I'm so happy I could finish it for you! This gown was inspired by the many portraits of King Louis XV's daughters in their formal court attire.

As usual, I've created different overlay accessories to maximize your customization options in-game. Through different combos of gown color and overlays, there are literally over 100 billion unique looks for this dress... 🤯 I cannot WAIT to see what you can come up with!

no shade to the teens and early twenties bloggers but it’s hard finding people within my age group that are active and continue to contribute here in the community. 

also idk if anyone else experiences this but sometimes it can be difficult relating to the younger population due to generational differences, pop culture, etc.
