Update

So, if it’s not been entirely obvious - I’ve not been here properly since September and posts have been very sparse since the queue ran out in October... So, what gives? Well, those best acquainted with me will know it’s basically what I do... I just bow out suddenly, usually with nothing said.

And then I come back.

And I’m coming back.

... Kind of.

So - I love RPing. I’ve done it longer now in my life than I haven’t. I can’t leave the characters that live in my head behind - their development, their relationships. I’m still excited for all of it. I’ve still been thinking about it.

But I don’t love tumblr.

So - I am moving to Discord for my roleplaying interactions. But I will be staying here on this blog - to find partners, to keep my muses bios and my rules in one place (my rules have been updated to reflect the move), to reblog things that inspire my muses and for memes.

I am just tired of fighting tumblr and how hard it is to write on here now... It kills my passion for it.

I need a platform that I can pick up and put down at my leisure - that I can write on when something is in my head - rather than having to fight through 30 mins of bullshit and disappearing drafts and new updates that render xkit workarounds dead for a few days and then I give up because my son has woken from his nap, or I have to go to bed to go to work...

So. I will be roleplaying (almost exclusively) on Discord going forward.

I dropped my name the post before this one (and will keep it well publicised on here) but please feel free to ask me at any point for it.

I will be dropping all threads on Tumblr - however - I am willing to move any and all interactions to Discord should any of my mutuals want to do that... So, it’s like a soft drop. If you want to keep writing with me on Discord - I want to keep our stuff. If that platform isn’t for you, I’m afraid I will not be able to continue our writing at this moment.

“I assure you, I have no intention of wasting your time, Mr. Walters.” Connor speaks, “In fact, I came to seek your services regarding a certain case.” Meaning he was there with the intention to pay for the man’s time. Or more so, someone else was willing to cover Connor seeking their services.

He turns - mouth already opening in response - and actually looks at Connor for the first time since the android had entered the reception area of his office. He closes his mouth, eyes lingering for a few brief seconds on the LED at Connor’s temple. He pauses a few seconds, before nodding his head to the inner chamber - to his personal office.

He turns again, tapping the desk of his assistant twice (she too is an android, and doesn’t look up from the computer she’s working on) before heading into his office - obviously expecting Connor to follow.

To be fair she should know better because even she had been treated poorly over things outside her control, she didn’t choose for her body to be it’s own enemy. “Well… if people keep going after you because of that I’ll have to o something about it now won’t I?”

“It’s not worth it.” He says softly - and there is a small part of him that means that he is not worth it. “I can handle it myself.” Usually. Mostly. “But, thank you... For your concern. I appreciate it.” And he offers her a smile to underline that.

“No... They’re not.” And for a moment - he sounds haunted by it. He had been a boy, catapulted into manhood in one single night. Doubts plagued him. The deaths of his friends and acquaintances tormented him. But - he, at least, had been on the cusp of adulthood. He, at least, had his parents. He, at least, hadn’t had to face Voldemort alone. And he, at least, hadn’t compromised his morals for the comfort his blood status had offered. That, at least, was a demon he didn’t have to deal with.

“Still. We did what was right, in every moment, we did our best. And we should be proud of that, celebrate it. If we hadn’t, things would be so much worse.” He’s not sunny any more - but he still shines bright.

As he spots her, he stops - but he looks far from embarrassed. Unlike some of the students he’d attended Hogwarts with, the idea of dancing at the Yule ball hadn’t filled him with dread. He was actually pretty good at it - although, admittedly he was better with a partner. But - it feels strange to keep practicing, pretending she’s not there.

“See something you like?” He asks, dropping his arms and turning to face her fully.
