It was several days bc my paternal great grandmother had SO MANY POLAROIDS OF JUST. FURNITURE. WHY.

But also I got up see a lot of things that I hadn't before like my mom's trip to the Alamo, and it also confirmed to me that my mother has the most precious opening present face.

Can you just imagine leaving a bunch of photos behind and it's just.... Chairs??? I guess she liked that polaroid

I'll get a picture to you as soon as possible. There's genuinely no other way to describe it, totally a gay kiss. Also the oldest photo I found in the collection was from like...I think 1875. I had to figure out who was in it and when they were born anyways um yeah!

When I was active on quotev, there was a mermaid story that I Loved but the author ended up deleting it bc so many people were just straight up copying parts of her story.

If that happens, the author doesn't lose the story-they're the author, of course they'll have a copy of it somewhere. The only people who lose are the readers. Every single one of them loses when an author has to remove their work from a site.

Just be respectful to them and their craft, ask permission for translation and all that, and just be decent people.

I don’t care if this comes off as cruel but you are not entitled to fanfiction. You are not entitled to podfics. You are not entitled to translated works.

Creators are not paid to make fanworks. People spend years of their lives writing fic and getting nothing in return except positive interactions. You can ask to make a translation. You can ask to make a pod fic. But you cannot demand it.

And because the only thing fanfic writers get in return for their work is positive feedback, taking away an authors ability to receive that is disgusting. Authors deserve to have full control and ownership of their works.

Fanfic isn’t a product to consume and then demand more of. Authors and creators deserve better.

It's not bc minors are uncool or immature, it's bc the page (blogs, posts, etc) contain content that is simply not fit for minors. It's a way to protect minors from seeing things that they're not ready to see.

I got another idea for 141 boys based on how I spent my morning and I'm hoping it helps you a little.

The scenario: the reader and the 141 boys decide to tackle yardwork but there's not enough gloves for everyone, so reader makes do (unless they're like me and get knicked by every branch and thorn imaginable). As soon as the guys notice they immediately bunch reader, putting them in charge of supervising so they don't hurt themselves anymore

omg I could picture that.

We have these things in the south called chiggers (it's like a teeny tiny red tick/mite) I could imagine reader getting bite to hell and back by them.

Simon has to physically stop you from continuing to work, so he just hauls you over his shoulder and puts you inside the house. John is searching the house for a first aid kit to see if there is any calamine lotion. Kyle helps put it on your back and legs while John then heads to the store for some benadryl.

Johnny is still outside, oblivious as the sound of the lawn mower distracts him from all the earlier commotion. He's so in the zone that it's not until everyone comes back out that he had finished up the entire yard.

My parents would tell me that my art wasn't good enough to sell and to anyone who has ever heard that, all that matters is that you're happy with what you're able to draw. Your art is wonderful and amazing and it's yours and nothing will ever change that. All you have to do is keep doing art. You're doing great. <33

saw someone on instagram say “you shouldn’t post your art until it’s good” and that comment filled me with rage so i want to say to every beginner artist or artist who feels their art is not improving no matter how long they’ve been at it. i love you and i love your art and everything you post bears part of you and that is so beautiful. block everyone who says otherwise they are not entitled to freely consume what they rag on.
