The university system sued United Auto Workers Local 4811 on Tuesday even though both sides have competing unfair practice labor claims pending before the California Public Employment Relations Board, which declined twice to issue an emergency injunction.
Alright graduate students and postdocs, disregard the injunction now is the time to take over the university with a students & researcher's soviet
I am matching(ish) this at 8 dollars each! Receipts under the cut. Does anyone want to join me?
Gaza escape funds: match my donations! 🇵🇸
I finally got my paycheck today, so I want to highlight the campaigns I’m donating to and to encourage anyone who can to match my donations. All of these campaigns have been vetted and vouched for by Palestinian users I trust, and you can look through my asks tag to see links to the verifications.
Today I’m going to donate $10/€9/£8 to each of these funds! If you can match that donation for one or more (or all!) of these funds, please do! I encourage everyone to follow the tumblr pages for each of these campaigns as well.
Thank you all for your generosity 💙

She has both a gofundme and a paypal fundraiser, both of which are linked in the post which I will link below, in which user fallahifag also vouches for Amal)

if u see this, we need $78/$$$ of any amoun for 2 kids 5 disabled adults, four whom are gay. we desperately need help for food for rest of the week and next week, kids can go through a box of Ramen in two days at the slowest and 1 if unsupervised. Mom needs meals healthy food qnd Derek needs diabetic friendly which cheap food isnt. My sister has terrible mouth pain she needs easy to eat food. We aren' allowed access to the fridge.
Next thing that costs us much, uber/lyft, a ride to Walmart costs us 11 typically, then factor in tipping and no public transportation either.
Just, more than anything we need food help, I worry about the kids growing up like me, always scared of not having a next meal. I'm not asking anyone to donate or share, just that if you want to d*nate, be it any amount is more than I had before, or to reblog, to help in anyway u can
I cannot stand the parodies of modern major general, they're overdone and simply not as good as the original. They've done them about everything, whatever topic, big or small.
And when i notice one of them my eyes will always start to roll.
The diction's always slurry when they rush the complicated words, and adding many fricatives will turn it so cacophonous. The slanted rhymes are silly and they keep just making more and more, please someone stop the parodies of modern major general.
The scanning of the lyrics in the meter is unbearable, they emphazise the syllables in ways that are untenable, in short in matters musical, prosodic and ephemeral, i cannot stand the parodies of modern major general!
There is a great possibility that a temporary truce agreement will be reached, and the terms of the truce are agreed upon: the army’s temporary withdrawal from all areas, and the return of the Rafah crossing to remove people who want to travel.
I ask every person with a conscience and a pure heart to feel for us, because my family is large, and to donate to us generously, because there is no agreement on a specific period for the truce, and it is possible for them to return to all areas and continue the bombing and killing of innocents and defenseless children.
I have a huge burden on my shoulders, and the war made me go through the most difficult suffering, because my brother has special needs, and my wife’s mother lost her sight as a result of a stroke, and my daughter dreams of living in safety like the children of the world.
I hope you will support us, and I hope you will donate generously, and share it extensively so that it reaches the largest number and get everyone to donate to us, because I am unable to escape with everyone if something bad happens to us.
Even through all this destruction, the people of Gaza remain steadfast in their determination to stay in their homeland. They'll rebuild and rebuild a thousand times over no matter what the occupational army does to it.
Mahmoud Abusalama wants to make sure everyone outside of Gaza understands how steadfast the people are. Remember, even if all this happens, this is our homeland and Palestinians will not have their spirits broken! The colonial entity of 'Israel' will never take that away!
If you'd like to support the people of Gaza directly, you can donate to HelpGazaChildren through the link below.

[ID: Mahmoud Abusalama sweeps away rubble in a room with walls missing as he speaks to the camera. The camera pans out and shows the complete and total destruction of Jabaliya refugee camp.]
There's a group of Sudanese refugees who were under the 'care' of the UNHCR's Ethiopia chapter after having been displaced to Sudan's Ethiopia borders by RSF ethnic cleansing. Once settled in the refugee camp at the border, not only were they constantly at an unresolved shortage of food and water, but they were frequently attacked and robbed of what little they had by militias. The refugees repeatedly appealed to the Ethiopian government and UNHCR for help and relocation to a safer area to no avail. Sara here explains this situation in full. They were forced to relocate on their own, but the Ethiopian government wouldn't allow them further inland, so they were forced to settle in the wilderness near the borders. These conditions are extremely unsafe and unsanitary and there are pregnant woman in the camp, some of whom have just given birth.
These refugees have begun hungerstriking for their attention and action.
What you can do to help them: If you have Twitter, if you have IG, shame the UNHCR, tag UNHCR_ethiopia tag the U.N., shame the U.N. Make a social media storm. Pressure them and shame them into acting in the interests of these refugees and countless others. Follow the account I've linked twice. Follow who she tells you to follow. Stay up to date and stay active and reactive. No complacency for Sudan.
for some reason the previous post… disappeared? so please reblog this one and match my €5 donation to maliha family. the fundraiser is vetted. receipt below:
they’re are a family of 7 - 6 siblings (including 2 children) and their mother. dina is a teacher; nora studies special education; ahmed studies software engineering; farah just graduated high school; mohammed is just 13 (and suffers from respiratory problems that became worse as war escalated); amr is only 11 and dreams of becoming an engineer. they lost contact with their father. they also lost their house. they’re now depending on our kindness to help them reach their goal.
this is the breakdown of the cost of their evacuation:
$5000 per adult (we are five adults), totaling $25,000.
$2500 per person under 18 (2 children), totaling $5000.
Renting an apartment in Egypt costs $166 monthly ($2000 for a full year).
Total amount: $32,000.
€22,832 raised of €32,000 goal.
once again: please match my €5 donation and spread:
2. Have an EU passport and euros-based bank account in an EU country?
3. Have any contacts who can vouch for your participation in pro-Palestine activism and/or fundraising?
If all of these apply to you, please contact me via ask (I’ll answer privately) or DM. Ahmed @90-ghost informed me of a Palestinian from Gaza who needs help facilitating a transfer of funds. I will vet you to the best of my ability (some questions about you, info about people willing to vouch for you, any evidence you have of involvement with the cause, etc.), inform you as to what to expect from this process, and then pass you onto Ahmed to get in touch with the person in need of assistance. Trusting a stranger is a last-ditch effort, it’s the only option left, but I’d like to at least try. If you have contacts at EU-based organizations who can help, that works, too!
Please spread this among your pro-Palestine networks. Thank you 🖤
