The party was well under way, and where was Lorcan, checking underneath the tables that held the punch and darting through people’s feet. In retrospect bringing along Pickett, the Bowtruckle he’d ‘inherited’ from his great grandfather, seemed like a good idea. It in fact was not. The creature was far older than he was but seemed to have much more energy. He’d been along in many adventures and now he was kicking himself for not remembering how antsy he could be. Shuffling through a crowd of people and watching their feet, he bumped into someone. “Sorry mate, you haven’t seen a small walking plant around have you?”

his eyes narrowed at the question, thinking if he’d anything mentioned about a walking plant. munro knew he hadn’t seen anything, but he was sure he would have heard about it if anyone had seen anything like that around the party. it may have been hogwarts, but this was a party, not herbology. “can’t say that i have, mate,’ he said finally. “but i’d be more than happy to help you look for it.”

munro d’eath | potential connections aka intro, part deux

best friend ( open to two, any gender & house, seventh year ) ;; okay so this is the person munro turns to for everything. he’s a pretty lonely person so it’d probably take a while to get past the charming facade and honestly idek if this person would completely get through that just yet. but it’d be fun to explore.

ex-boyfriend ( open to one, masculine character, any house, seventh year ) ;; okay so these two have been broken up for a loooooong time. like they probably dated when they were in like their fourth year at hogwarts before munro left them for the ex-girlfriend. we can plot how things ended (it would have been around the time munro’s mom died) & if there are any lingering feelings there now. i’d imagine that munro is a bit nostalgic for what was even if there aren’t feelings anymore.

ex-girlfriend ( open to one, feminine character, any house, sixth or seventh year ) ;; so these two only recently broke up like probably during summer maybe even like right before school started. they’d been together before that since his fourth year at hogwarts. their relationship was likely pretty rocky esp considering munro’s started embracing the rock star lifestyle his dad has. reason they broke up can be discussed and whether there is resentment/lingering feelings/etc., but i imagine munro to have initiated the breakup. 

slow burn ( open to one, any gender & house, sixth or seventh year ) ;; okay so whether these two are friends, enemies, exes, whatever. i’m a sucker for that slow burn type of relationship. that will they/won’t they sort of thing.

fwb ( open to two, any gender & house, seventh year ) ;; easy to explain, ya know. he’s not an innocent person. he may have cheated on his significant others. 

one night stand ( open to two-ish, any gender & house, sixth or seventh year ) ;; at least one of these was fairly recent, almost immediately after his break up. i’d imagine either one night stand to have expected a relationship with him & to have been let down when he didn’t approach them afterwards. 

fan ( open to one, any gender & house, any year ) ;; someone who is either a HUGE fan of his dad and wants to get close to him for that or someone who is a fan of his music.

bad past ( open to one, any gender & house, sixth or seventh year ) ;; okay so this person someone was one the wrong side of munro at some point. i’d imagine munro to have flashed the famous dad card and it rubbed the person the wrong way, but this can easily be changed.

old friends ( open to one, any gender & house, seventh year ) ;;  okay so i’d imagine they were friends before munro’s mother died so they got to see a different side of him. this person would have been pretty much shoved aside after his mother died as munro retreated into himself for a while.

Oh hey, it’s MUNRO D’EATH, the 7th year CISGENDER MALE  SLYTHERIN. I always thought HE looked just like the muggle, THOMAS DOHERTY. I’ve heard they’re CREATIVE+CHARMING, but also SARCASTIC+LONELY. Hope they have a good year!

okay so munro is the son of the famous lorcan d’eath, and boy, does he know it. his parents met after one of lorcan’s concerts and had a bit of a whirlwind romance culminating in munro & his twin sorcha. his parents never married, but were blissfully happy together even if all lorcan’s fans weren’t. however, the happiness was short-lived when his sister was killed in an accident when they were seven that no magic or muggle medicine could fix. his mother and father separated less than six months later, his mother taking him back to her native scotland to live while his father continued performing and releasing new music.

his mother married a few years later when he was nine, giving him a step-father and two step-brothers. it could have been a hard transition, but it was easy. his step-father was everything his own father wasn’t. he was attentive, present, and caring while munro had always found lorcan to be whimsical, immature, and borderline selfish. his brothers were a distraction from the pain of losing his twin. 

he grew up in a fairly happy household after that, gaining two new half-sisters along the way. to his father’s delight, he discovered an affinity for music, a talent that was so similar to lorcan’s that he almost wanted to ignore it completely. 

his mom died when he was fourteen as well and despite his step-father wanting him to stay with him, he was forced to move in with his father after not living with him for years. it was an...interesting transition. he went from having a fairly stable life to traveling more than he really cared to during the summer. instead of his mother’s care packages, he’d get a irregular, hastily scrawled letters from his father that didn’t really say much of anything at all. 

now that he’s in his last year at hogwarts, he’s mostly just determined to work on his music so he can pursue that when he leaves. he hates the idea that he can only get fame because of his father, but he doesn’t see much of a way around it. the music he’s released so far has been met with some good reviews; but most of them just said how he’s so much like his father. 

so 10/10 munro just wants to be happy and successful but he doesn’t know how esp after losing his mum so young and dealing with his odd father.

his dad’s vampire heritage hasn’t come out much in him aside from a slightly paler complexion than necessary, a tendency to burn easily, and a penchant for extremely rare meat. 

will probably release more the more i think about him ya know
