Tiny Glade is an upcoming sandbox building relaxing game. Honestly, I would call it an activity. There are no goals and you just shape ruins of an old hamlet to your liking and cuddle sheep. one fun thing about being a teacher in march 2023 is that chess is a literal epidemic among teens. we are starting to have meetings about how we can STOP teenagers from playing too much chess which is like if we were trying to figure out how to stop them from reading for fun. When i was in high school five years ago chess was nerd shit only but now it is transcending every social and language barrier and is absolutely rampant. kids aren’t on their phone texting in class anymore it’s ONLY chess.com. kids are playing chess on their phones while playing chess in real life. this is still better than tiktok because at least the kids are developing an attention span from this

ambulon’s victory

ambulon survived the war. true, we don’t know how much of the war - we don’t know if he was forged or constructed cold, first wave or m.t.o. but in a war that lasted four million years, where a single battle once cut their numbers in half, where survivors number in the tens of thousands, it doesn’t really matter “how much” of the war you survived. it only matters that you did.

ambulon survived the decepticons. he survived the faction that treats its soldiers like cannon fodder, and then, if that wasn’t bad enough, he survived their forced experimentation - he survived being made into part of a prototype combiner team. he survived being stripped of his alt mode, being turned into a leg, and then, without an engine or wheels, he escaped.

ambulon survived delphi. he survived messatine, the stomping ground of the d.j.d. he survived its freezing cold and its isolation and pharma’s distain. he survived sonic and boom and pharma again, this time with a gun, and the red rust plague.

so yeah. being on the lost light? working with colleagues who respect and value him - colleagues who were also his friends?

that’s a victory for ambulon. that’s a win. that’s worth a couple ‘v’s and one hell of a huge happy smile

(and look at his paint. you can see where it flaked off before, but it’s all painted over now. maybe the chipping was a nervous habit or a symptom of stress or maybe it was just plain bad paint but whatever it was
