Reblog this if you had to learn cursive writing as a child
If you were ever told or were made to learn cursive writing when you were in grade school.
I wanna see how many of you suffered like I did.

Fanfic tiktok is wild... I see so many people saying shit like "I could never read anything below 60k!!", or "What story can you even tell in under 5k words?" or "A oneshot below 10k isn't even a story!" or "I always filter completed fics by 100k< only!"
And I'm like...
A) which fandoms are you reading fics for where you have this kind of offerings on the regular?
B) have you heard of short stories? If you truly think every story NEEDS to be longform to connect with people, I sincerely feel sorry for you.
C) Average novel length is between 50k to 100k. I'm sorry, but CONSISTENTLY demanding fic writers to push out fics of that length is insane. Just think about it: YOU DEMAND AUTHORS TO PUT OUT FICS THAT COMPARE TO COMMERCIAL NOVELS IN LENGTH (AND QUALITY) AS A BASELINE.
Yall are wilding.

I’m thinking again about how fucking lame the nightmare parts of ME3 were. Oh your running really slow around the woods while different dead characters are whispering your name, chasing a kid that we saw like two times???
Here are my ideas for a better nightmare:
Flashback to the first Normandy with little context, just enough that new players would understand where you were. Shepard makes comments about how she’s supposed to be somewhere/has something to do but can’t remember what that is. Characters are found in their normal places and when Shep speaks with them they say things similar to what they did in ME1 but something is just slightly off. The ‘goal’ of the nightmare is speaking Joker who laughingly tells Shep that what’s she’s supposed to be doing is dying at which point the Normandy blows apart like it did in ME2
Or maybe more involvement of wider variety of past characters. I think dreams including Saren and Benezia would have been amazing. I mean Saren is such a good foil to Shep and the games kinda forget about him in later games. Benezia is one of the main characters mothers and Shep not only killed her but Benezia had been at least mostly mind controlled.
Can you imagine if there was a nightmare where Shep has to run through one of the battles she has with them, only for it to be herself standing there saying all their lines?
There were a million of really cool possibilities!!

tv shows with time travel organizations/bureaus/police/agencies/whatever should have a department with instead of a tech genius eating candy, it’s a harried seamstress or fashion designer who is like
“1450 italy? does it look like I have the time to dye you wool? nO. YOU’RE GOING TO THE 1980s”
and throws shoulder pads at the hapless time agent

Fandom is amazing we’re all just writing stories for each other and making gifs and video edits and fanart and for what? For sharing the joy of it, the love of it. So we can look at another human and see ourselves
