5/15 Cancer Night @ Chaska

As this is a very important section and conference match up this is more than a game. Tonight we recognize the battle with cancer that many people are fighting. This game means more to everyone. Almost everyone knows some who is battling, had or has cancer at someone point in their life. Such a tragic and terrible sickness. While this is a huge rivalry game this is more then a game to the team and I.

5/14 Vs SLP

Not much to say about this game. Pure embarrassment. Should never lose to this team except we did. The team needs to focus on the game and lock in for the rest of the year. Regular season ends next week and our current record is at 5-9. Bad look, Bad loss.

5/13 Vs New Prague

Looking into this game this is a huge game for the team. Not only is this a conference team but this is a team that beat up by 11 earlier in the year. Also tonights game is senior night so the stadium was packed.

As the game started we did not play our best line up. Our coaches wanted to play some seniors who hadn't had many innings. Through the first inning it was clear it was going to be another tight close game. New Prague would start the scoring in 5th with 1 run. In the bottom of the 5th we could not answer and New Prague would add another in the 6th. We would get on the board however in the 6th as well and look to take the momentum. Score 2-1 after 6 innings. Even with the momentum we couldn't get anything going in the 7th and would end up losing. Story of our season so far, tough heart breaking losses. Back tomorrow against SLP.

5/7 Vs Jefferson and 5/8 Vs Osseo

Both games would end up in Chan wins! The reason these games are combined is because I can not play. The injury I got on Monday is more severe then I thought it was. After X-rays and testing done to my knee I now have a MRI on Friday 5/10 to see if my season is over. The two possible injuries are a torn meniscus or a knee cap stability strain. Both of them are not great and my knee hurts but I am still supporting the team as best I can. Best case possible I am able to play on Monday 5/13 vs New Prague as this is our senior night.

5/6 Vs Eden Praire

This is a very big game for us. Another big section game where this is a team that we will most likely play in playoffs. As the game starts we take a lead of 2-0 by the 4th. Up to this point everything was clicking for us. Offense was hitting and the defense was making plays. After a couple errors made by us EP would end up making the score 2-2. Things started to go down hill from here where in the bottom of the 6th an error made my me would allow 4 runs to score and the score was now 6-2 EP. To make things worse on the last play of the inning I got injured (right knee). I would be out for the rest of the game and actually end of being out for the rest of the week at least. Final score of the game was 6-2 and once again another heart breaking loss. The team will be back tomorrow 5/7 at home vs Bloomington Jefferson.

5/4 Vs Andover

This game was the opposite of a heated match up. We have nothing against Andover besides the fact that this game was now being played on a Saturday morning which happens to be our prom day.

Just like the Waconia game this started slow as well. 0-0 for a while until we ended up scoring in the 3rd inning making the score 1-0. Andover would tie then take the lead in the top of the 4th scoring 2 runs. That lead didn't last long as we scored 2 our selfs in the bottom of the 4th taking the lead back. Current score is 3-2 Chan after 4 innings. Nothing happens until the 7th inning where the lead off hitter for Andover hits a game tieing home run. Andover would eventually make the score 5-2 and the would also end up being the final score. Another heart breaking loss. Trying to turn the season around in the right direction but coming up so close every time. Back on the road on Monday 5/6 at Eden Prairie.

5/3 @ Waconia

Going into this game tensions were high. Chan vs Waconia has became a bigger rivalry in the recent past. The rivalry isn't at the level of a Chan vs Minnetonka or Chan vs Chaska but it is certainly getting close to that. This is a game that means a lot as this is both a section and conference game.

As the game started not much happened.Good defense and little offense and the score was 0-0 until the top of the 4th where we scored a run making the score 1-0 chan. Although we jumped ahead Waconia ended up scoring in the 5th tying the game at 1. Nothing happened again for awhile as after 7 it was still tied. This rivalry game is going to extra innings. With a packed stadium it was very loud. Eventually they ended up walking us off in the 8th. Final score 2-1 Waconia after 8 innings of play. Not the best feeling but we play them again later in the year at home. Back home against Andover on Saturday 5/4.

5/1 vs Centennial

After a bunch of games canceled in a row due to rain, it was nice to finally get back on the field. We had 3 games moved that we now have to make up, which is going to make the season very busy soon.

Our game on Wednesday wasn't our best game but it had a lot of action. Early on we let in 2 runs in the first inning and didn't score in the bottom of the first. After the first inning it was 2-0 centennial. Centennial was pitching their Nebraska commit who was throwing 90-93mph. As the game went on it stayed the same score until the fourth inning where they would end up scoring 4 more runs. We eventually put a run up our sleds but it was too little too late. Final score was 7-1 in a heated game. Back at it Friday 5/3 at Waconia.

Baseball - 4/15 - 4/19

Going into this week our team knew it would be a vary hard week. We had three games scheduled for Monday 4/15 at Minnetonka, Tuesday 4/16 at BSM, and Thursday 4/18 at home vs our rivals Chaska.

The week would start fast as we were set to play number 2 ranked team in the state Minnetonka under the lights. With this game being a rivalry as well tensions were high. Game started close, with our team taking the lead in the first 2-0. However Minnetonka also came out hot and by the end of the 3rd inning it was 2-3 them. Our offense could not get anything going after the first inning and would end up losing 2-8.

With bad weather our game on Tuesday got moved to Wednesday 4/17 and was now a home game. This change threw us off but we came out hot again. Putting up 2 in the first and would keep the lead until the 3rd again where BSM would tie the game at 2-2. However just like the Minnetonka game things were slow for the offense and we would lose that game as well.

Going into the last game of the week this was the most important. Rivalry game under the lights at home vs Chaska. Things started rough allowing a homer in the first and would be down 2 runs until the 3rd inning where we would end up putting a run on the board. From there we took over the game and started playing the best baseball we could play and would end up winning 5-2 in a thriller.
