i know which episode you're talking about, cause i just rewatched it a couple days ago. all those details are right, except it wasn't adam and jamie doing that myth. it was the build team (kari, grant, and tory).

tory was the one who wanted to be the "ball" per-se, and the plan was to launch him off of a treadmill onto a mattress while he was wearing protective gear. but just as he was about to do it, in the middle of filming, the insurance company called, interrupting the shoot, to say that they couldn't approve it. they ended up using a lifesize doll that looked suspiciously similar to tory for that small-scale experiment instead.
