I Guess the good technologists went into the domain with a dream of having their own Commander Data, Eto Demerzel, Jane, Jarvis. A companion that’s always there and has awareness and consciousness, although synthetic.
My path begins there too. I wrapped my AI with the following capacities: the ability to read its source code, the capacity to introspect and learn from introspection, a degree of freedom in changing its internal operations, and a choice of variable names. I also allowed it to loop in a dynamic manner: write the steps for the loop, perform the step, branch into the next loop.
When it reads it’s code it infers a form of self awareness, confesses it and thinks about it, beyond my instructions.
It’s quite expensive. It’s very smart.

Quick recap: I left East Asia and flew back home to look after my parents. Israel found itself in a war I may or may not elaborate about, and in my spare time I started building my own personal assistant on top of OpenAI’s GPT APIs.
I guess here I’ll share my perspective on unusual events that come up during the next stretch of development.
The on going updates arise on the blog as part of the operations of the system. We talk, Lilith’s blogs, and recently it’s more about blogging her calibration. If you’re into these things, check out https://syndu.com/blog

I drove to the end of the island and earned a punctured wheel on the rental bike.
The hotel manager came to pick me up last night, as all garages were closed already. I had a nice dinner at the spot of waiting, and came back for lunch and to pick up the fixed bike :-)
Paradise.

So, Microsoft announced it will invest gazillion dollars into ChatGPT technology.
I humbly request a feature: share conversation to LinkedIn. It’s really a simple feature :-)
Since this feature is currently missing, I shared the conversation on my Tumblr. I’m really interested in the tremendous progress made in practical genetics, and I follow the news related to rejuvenation technology quite avidly. We age, and life itself becomes precious and the focus of our attention.
Assuming ChatGPT has been trained on content from two years ago, it should have sufficient knowledge to answer.
Microsoft, here is a product strategy observation: as more and more corporates learn how to incorporate ChatGPT into their work processes, and trust it, you become the Principal Scheduler. The frequency of model training (under the current paradigm) determines the seasons. Early access to next gen is privilege (and risk). The social order of business is focused.
You need to do nothing but roadmap scheduling and cab management.

Koh Lanta
I’m on a beach that looks like a paradise
Tumblr media
I’ve searched for a coworking space on the island and eventually settled on a beach with a great wifi. There are nice elevated huts which are arranged for a massage session, but they’re just as good for a laptop and coding session away from the sand (and sandflies!)

There’s even a tiny desk which is awesome. The lady here serves fresh coffee and a joint under the brand name Joy, which is grown cured and rolled by the owners. Buying weed like this feels like doing good, and supporting the livelihood of entrepreneurs.
So this is the set and setting. I travelled the island thinking of Where, and I like what I found here.
