i really don’t believe you can write for katsuki or izuku without acknowledging what they mean to each other. or like, literally, any of their classmates. the class-a pack, the pro-hero pack they grow into, are a package deal. they have literally experienced war and injury and death together, multiple times, before they’re barely seventeen. to love one of them—any of them—is to accept that they’re apart of something you will always be outside of, in some ways.

mermay is always so much fun especially bc i get to live out all my little girl fantasies LMAOOO. like i distinctly remember that when i was a kid i had this fantasy that i was a human-fairy-mermaid shifter and it was a big dramatic secret 😭 One day, one of my classmates accidentally spilt some water on me and poof – i become a mermaid right there in that classroom because the water triggered my magical girl transformation ✨️😭 the fairy part was equally as dramatic — i think there were evil bad guys i had to beat too!

It was a recurring theme in my dreams back then — i'd hop into bed like i was watching the next episode of a show 😭 now i get to play mermaids with anime characters which is even better 😌

Yk those mermaid tails that were very popular in like 2015?! I was in like 3rd grade at that time and I wanted one so frickin bad, but unfortunately they don't sell them where I am from >:(

So I told my friends to wrap my legs in saran wrap, cut out the fins from cardboard and wrapped pretty cloth all over it. It looked... horrible XD but every time my friend would come we would pretend to be mermaids... on my living room couch... that was surely a sight XD

as a kid i was obsessed with mermaids. with them and fairies! anything magic, really. unicorns, the works. i remember being like, idk, four? like, little, and at a fair or something with my parents and getting really ill, mid-day—i remember it distinctly for two reasons: how sick i felt, and the baby mermaid doll i had that i cried for until my parents got it for me LMAO. she had a shiny, cheap fabric tail and bright blonde hair like straw, and i loved her. my dad had to carry me out of the fair and back to the car and i very distinctly remember hitting him with her LMFAO, because i wanted to stay and eat things with my cool doll and admire the way her tail shimmered. 😭🙏🏽

years ago, when i was finishing surrender and getting ready to post something, an anon sent an ask mentioning that they’d heard iris by the goo goo dolls (and i’d give up forever to touch you/‘cause i know that you feel me somehow/you’re the closest to heaven that i’ll ever be/and i don’t want to go home right now) that day and associated it with bakugou, in surrender. and at the time i had a pretty light-hearted response (“what a classic!” or something similar) but if you’re still out there, anon, i just want you to know that i heard the song just randomly, today, and i didn’t think of bakugou or the fic, but i did think of you. 💌🌷
