( Hm . ) It's to be expected , hearing such kind words from such a kind person . It ALMOST makes him weary , as a kind hand were something scarce to come by - especially in his upbringing downfall ⋯ Despite this , the vampire listens intently on what his new companion speaks about . Vital information in a vastly unknown part of the world is much needed , especially with such strange monsters lurking about . Ugly bastards , the lot of them . Golden gauntlet taps at his leather strapped thigh , thinking about the best course of action here - &. the best way to take down these foes . Were they to pose a threat in their exploration , which had a ninety-nine percent possibility . Vincent's not too worried , he's faced stronger creatures than this before , &. tougher situations .

“ Would you feel better if I said I'm not ? Because , I'm not . ” More so , uncertainty , rather than nervousness . Crimson looks toward the woman , then flickered them toward the entrance - or exit .

Writing Vincent & gaining a bit more of a feel for him, I've kinda 'warped' his biography page due to some reasons. More due to the fact that I want to start him on a 'fresh slate', vs. creating something already pre-established. Especially because he is a very new chr for me, despite my knowledge & likeness toward this chr for however many years. I wanted to have more openness with how the FF series does change/rework & tone up on some things with each installment. This blog for Vincent will essentially be a mixture of all the media from what I've played & watched up until now. Due to his immortality, & the fact I'm playing him as a vampire, he can very easily fit into which ever world that a specific FF game is set in. Vincent does like to travel, after all.

He does come to care about the world/universe, but right now, he simply does not. He's currently in an eternal state of hatred, rage, depression, anxiety, what have you. & with the connections he makes from this point on, it's going to open up his heart & mind to those around him whom he grows to trust more, & eventually just the strangers of the world. Despite his dark & brooding nature, he will end up being a bit of a softy.

I hope this gives a bit more insight to how I'm running this account. & I thank you all who've given me a chance here thus far, as well as Mr. Vincent.

Regardless of the world &. it's ongoing issues , there's always going to be a soft spot for the creatures that inhabit it . Feline's in particular . Vincent held the kitten , which looked to be nor more than a few handful of months old &. pressed a pointed claw to it's nose . Gently . Listening to it's purrs , likely a way of saying it's ' thanks ' for the vampire's help . Moments later , it's placed somewhere safe , red eyes watching it wonder off &. eventually find it's mother .

He smiled .

A simple nod , acknowledging Serah's suggestion . He thought to himself , Never met a kinder person , &. a ghostly smile formed beneath the crimson of his scarf . His tone in voice didn't match the expression , unfortunately . “ Yeah . Needed a change of scenery - heard about this from others . I needed a phone , though , to help me get around unfamiliar territory . ”

A brief moment of silence , as the vampire isn't exactly the talkative type . “ So ⋯ Is there anything specific I need to know , before setting foot beyond the gates ? ” Already encountering strange beasts from beyond , Vincent wants more specific details . Since this place is ⋯ strange , for lack of better words .

Vincent is a man of many secrets, coming off dark & brooding. Due to everything that he's experienced & endured in this agonizing lifetime, he's a bit of a cryptic. Especially if it's to do with his past, often referring to the mental/emotional & physical trauma as 'sin'. He spends his days now, trying to make amends, repent due to an immortal life he should've never been cursed with. While he attempts to be of service to his comrades & the world around him, ultimately he confessed that he does not care. Everyone & everything can burn, the Planet is not nor will it ever be, a priority of his.

However, in later years, spending time with his newly acclaimed friends & with an experiment in which he saw himself in - priorities changed. Having a deep conversation with Red XIII, he vows to never leave the creature's side. Neither one had to be lonely again, for they'd always have each other.

This relationship with Nanaki open the vampire's eyes to many things around him. Becoming less selfish, & putting forth more effort with humans & what life had.

(PLEASE NOTE**, I will be writing him in his ways prior to this relationship with Red XIII. I'd also like to state, the friendship between Red XIII & Vincent isn't romantic. I implore those who suggest that, to rethink it here. I am not open to writing romance between these two). (PLEASE NOTE P.2**, further on why I am writing his background this way is in this post. I recommend reading it, especially if you're expecting a certain version of Vincent here.)

**I based Vincent Valentine off of my rusty knowledge of the video game 'Final Fantasy VII' from 1997.  As well as the movie, 'Final Fantasy: Advent Children' released in 2005.       I've been in the roleplay scene since late 2012, under various blogs/fandoms. I know most of how things work & how tense some parts can be. I wish to take no part in it, be it drama, call-outs, etc. Personal affairs between others, I also stray far away from. I simply want to enjoy this hobby among friends & new comers. Anyone who brings something on the table that may be distasteful in nature, or what have you, will just be blocked. Simple as that ...

      However, I am a friendly person and open to writing with anyone. Just be a decent person, don't be a dick to me or those close to me and we're golden.

    I'd like to state, I will be 'mutuals-only' on this blog. & I don't plan to curate a super huge following here, either. More on 'the why' can be seen in the Activity Status section.

    I like to give my own sort of twist to canon characters, to make them somewhat more unique/my own interpretation. So, expect that from me.

    Dark topics may be & will be explored here; such as mature language, religious corruption, cult references, descriptive sex & nudity, blood, gore, & other general dark topics. And though I know inc3st is something popular written in fandom, it is most definitely not something I'm going to, or even want to, write out. So, please don't pursue me under the impression that I'll write something like that with you.

    The activity status of this blog will be permanently labeled as 'semi-active'. Which means, that I'll be mostly lurking rather than regularly posting or engaging for now. I will remain “flaky” in terms of staying in contact with others. The best way to talk would be discord, as I don’t have notifications for Tumblr enabled. This may change in the future, but with life as it is - Vincent Valentine's blog, or roleplay at all - won't be such a high priority of mine.
