2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

Garrus: I think my favorite canon thing about him is that he really does go off the rails between 1 and 2. He's not okay. He's not doing okay. I'm such a slut for a tragedy of someone's own making.

Jack: I love Jack so much it's hard for me to choose just one thing. But god her whole characterization in 2 makes me a crazy person. The anger, the hurt? I have more fully fledged out thoughts about her but my brain is also something like a lead vault and as sieve where all the good important words are locked away or they disappear before I can fully form them.

8. What's something that this fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

Garrus: Look, when the fandom ignores that Garrus's idea of justice is not justice at all in the first place, when they ignore that he canonically used excessive force as a cop, and all of that stuff, it drives me up a wall. When we ignore the things that make him the character he is because there are facets of his personality and history that are unpleasant and uncomfortable to look at honestly, we're doing a huge disservice to his characterization.

Jack: Putting Jack in a relationship with Miranda. Softening her rough edges. There's probably more but I haven't experienced a whole lot because I don't tread too deep into fandom spaces (despite having my own fandom sideblog.)

16. What's your least favorite ship for this character?

Garrus: Uuuuuhhhh. I don't know? I haven't really thought about it all that much.

Jack: See above. I doubt if Jack would never trust Miranda. And frankly, I don't even think a hate fuck would work out between them either. This isn't Freud's Psych 101 guys, sometimes, two people just hate each other and it's not hidden sexual tension.

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

I like it when people explore what's wrong with that boy (Hank Hill voice: that boy ain't right) by lovingly putting him in the torment blender and hitting the pulse button a few times.

Also on the horny side of things, I like when he's bitey. This has nothing to do with him as a character. I think everyone should be bitey.

20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?

About the time I was 1500 words deep into blood & grenadine, I decided that Garrus and Zaeed either need to be lovers or best friends. This is not necessarily a GOOD thing. It is however, a great thing. All of the very fun little scenarios I've thought about in my brain told me so.
