as much as i may be missing DA my muses and all that, i rly..... can’t play any of the games on my computer anymore, and i cant rly focus on or feel engaged with other ppl’s playthrough videos, and that’s all created a bit too much distance and a bit of a block between me and the DA source making it rly difficult to properly get back into the groove enough to come back here or on hifntasy now or likely anytime soon. but i will probably still keep checking in on my dash and reading new HC posts and checking updates to muse rosters and stuff bc it DOES still interest me and it excites me to know ur all still Doing It !!! i just dont have it in me to participate :/

im not Back, but the knowledge that i was following, like, 100 blogs and that at least a third of ‘em were inactive (either archived and moved, or just abandoned) was getting to me even while im away from it, so i’ve just done a little tidy up: some unfollowing, refollowing, soft-blocking etc.

absolutely no offense meant to anyone!! <3 and tbh if anyone that i am following/have just (re)followed wants to soft/block me because of my general inactivity (or any other reason) that’s also super fine, there won’t be hard feelings. this was just something i felt i could/should do for personal comfort, but also as a very tiny doable step towards returning here....eventually.

all that just to say uh YEAH of course if alistair’s naming a kid it’s gonna be duncan, ophelia wants to name a daughter mallory as a loose reference to her dad, and HONESTLY if they took in another kid post-inquisition and after alistair gets a reunion with and the full story from his Mother, maybe... the name fiona/fionn would come into play

IF ophelia was romanced by alistair during origins, and then they reconnected later and she flipped it and showed she’d softened her heart a lil and romanced him, and it worked and they got a lil bit of time to Breathe bc u know how thedas can be, and they just. went about their darkspawn-killing and taint-researching business across thedas, usually together!! i think they would end up adopting/fostering kids. according to canon the odds of them being able to conceive together (2 ppl with the taint??!?!?) would be. sooooo low to be almost impossible. and honestly idk if living the way they do and seeing the things they’d seen if they would necessarily be interested in that, but if a small family farm near an old mine or cave got ransacked by darkspawn and the parents/other adults were killed and left kid/s behind, and there were no other relatives to speak of or nearby neighbours or towns or farmers who could or would take the children in................ ophelia knowing how hard it was to keep bethany’s (and her own, to a lesser extent) magic a secret and to keep her safe , and alistair knowing what’s it’s like not only to be Unwanted in ur childhood home but then to be given up to the chantry and thEN the templar order as a child w/ no say in the matter...... they wouldn’t just leave orphans to that fate. like yeah they’re gonna succumb to the taint and their respective callings sooner rather than later bUT in the meantime they could do their best to protect and lOVE the kids and YES that means they’ll end up with the an incredibly eclectic and far-reaching extended family and all the aunts, uncles and family friends they’ll sometimes have to stay with if ophelia and alistair gotta do a Warden + Unofficial-Warden Thing that’s not appropriate for children but i think they would also maybe .... chill out? on the endless hunting for a cure and sweeps for stragglers. not reduce it to nil but just. cut back a wee bit. allow themselves time to Live a bit of domestic, semi-settled adult life that they’d both been without since the age of 20 . and i think that’s very sweet and nice for all involved, honestly
