I’m afraid I’m gonna be a pessimist and disagree with a few current thoughts doing the rounds. 1. I think the beard is a Rafa beard not a Carlos beard. I think it’s too similar to how he looked at events earlier this year/last year when they weren’t filming. I think a lot of the last 2 weeks have been filming the big rescues of early season 5 (which rumour has it is a train wreck) so I’m not sure Rafa will have been on set at all.

2. I think we rewatch the scenes so many times we remember every detail and read too much into things. I don’t think it’s the Reyes Ranch and I don’t think we’ll see Carlos on a horse. I think the writers barely remember important things like TK has a brother and almost step-dad in NYC; they aren’t gonna remember a throw away line in a list of topics from season 2, nor Carlos deflections in an argument about children last season.

I am posting this half because I believe it and half because I would love to be proven spectacularly wrong when the season airs. I would LOVE beardy Carlos, the husbands at the family ranch and both riding horses. Any of those would kill me but I’m just preparing myself for none of it to happen to try and reduce the disappointment

There is every possibility you’re right 😂😂 I remember last season we got bts inside what we all thought was a synagogue because it looked like there was a Star of David in the stained glass and we were wrong, it turned out to be the church tommy/grace/judd go to. We get things wrong all the time speculating about bts stuff we don’t have context for. So we’ll see you might be right. But my fingers are crossed anyway

Now we all know Carlos has definitely used handcuffs on TK but what I wonder is if he used his regular work cuffs or if he got new ones especially for personal use

I think TK would want him to use the real ones and would promise up and down that he can be good and he won’t tug at them. But Carlos knows him and knows that is not true, TK will definitely not be good and will definitely slice his wrists open. So he says No in his stern voice and uses padded ones meant for sexy play

It might be because I’m not well atm but why am I blanking on the Reyes having a ranch. I remember Judd having one but now them.

Who owns it and when was that said? Makes you wonder why they didn’t get married there?

The Reyes family ranch was mentioned once and only once by Carlos in 2x04! When Carlos tells TK about how his parents reacted to his coming out, he says:

"You know what we talked about the next morning? The Astros bullpen, the price of unleaded, a new calf on our family ranch. Not one mention of what I shared."

So all we know about the ranch is that Carlos considers it "our family ranch" and that it is probably a cattle ranch seeing as Carlos mentioned a new calf.

I have to assume Gabriel and Andrea are not the ones who run/own the ranch since we've seen their house and it's definitely not on a ranch. Also, Gabriel works (worked😭) full time. Though I don't know much about ranching, I imagine the person running it wouldn't also have time to be a Texas Ranger.

Presumably, the ranch is owned and run by some other family member. Since we know nothing more about it, there could be lots of reasons that they didn't get married on the ranch. Maybe it isn't nice enough to compete with the dream venue. Maybe it's owned by a relative who Carlos didn't feel comfortable asking if he could get married there. Maybe other family members have gotten married there in the past and they've all gotten divorced so the family has decided that it's cursed to get married there!

Or, most likely, maybe the writers forgot that it exists!

Even if they forgot about the Reyes Ranch in the past, though, that doesn't mean they can't remember in time for season 5! I still have hope!
