the funniest thing about WWX finding JC boring and a stick in the mud is that he's the only person in the world in the eyes of whom JC might pass for boring and a stick in the mud
Jiang "I'll throw myself at the Core-Melting Hand to make him stand back" Cheng is boring yeah okay person that Jiang Cheng pulls out of trouble and gets into trouble for, that seems like a reasonable description of the master of the three poisons who went from last survivor of a destroyed sect to leader of a still-major sect after a war in the space of a couple of years. definitely.

i will never not be in absolute agony thinking about how jc sees wwx's actions as trying to be the hero, but wwx literally cannot see injustice and NOT try and do something about it, it would destroy him from the inside out to just ignore it. wwx wants to save EVERYONE, but jc can't afford that, not when he has an entire sect to rebuild and everyone is looking at them like carrion scavengers just waiting for the first sign of weakness, jc just wants shixiong to stop looking at everything except him, doesn't wwx see that he is the one who needs help right now? why does wwx have to go and help the wens when jc also needs help? why does wwx have to be the hero for everyone else, except for jiang cheng?
