Four years ago, I was a mess. I had just graduated from nursing school, and while my fellow nursing grads were done the NCLEX, I was still waiting for the email so I could write it too. But months passed by, and nothing happened. (This was also COVID turned the world upside down.) And while a lot of my friends were already dating, married or starting their own families, I was still living at home with my parents going through some harsh growing pains. When I could finally write the exam, I failed it over and over again. I cried so many tears through out that time, and I can’t even begin to describe how excruciating that season of life was. And I constantly cried out to God wondering why He was letting all of this happen.
It’s May 2024 now. Even though it took me several attempts, I finally passed the NCLEX. I get to go home to my wonderful, loving husband every night. And He’s placed some incredible people around me that pray for me and keep me grounded.
Four years ago, I was broken, stuck and lost. Today, thank God, I am healing, loved and looking forward to what He has in store.
