Foundation: Amigos del Perro/ Friends of the Dog

The foundation is non-profit and independent that since 1995 our objective is animal welfare, we look for homes for abandoned animals and we work for the responsible ownership of animals.

I am from Mexico, I had to travel 13 hours and 35 minutes to get to this place in Serin 33930, Principality of Asturias, in Spain. The weather is very rainy and the temperature is 15 ° C, so it is more important to save the stray dogs.

This is what I have done as a volunteer:

I have put up many stray dogs for adoption.

I have participated in campaigns against the abandonment and mistreatment of animals.

I have denounced people who mistreat animals.

I have housed many dogs and cats.

I have donated toys and food for street dogs and cats

Coming soon: 

I will make a bigger hostel.

I will give therapies with companion animals for the education of childhood and youth.

I am going to donate toys for dogs and cats.

The association is located in Mexico City, I stayed at the Hotel Amala located on Av. Periferico. This city has a warm climate, its average temperature is 15.9°C.

The purpose of this association is to help dogs only in extreme conditions: blind, whith cancer, deaf, paralytic, etc.

I've taken some pictures of the association's facade and some dogs.

I've rescued a dog suffering from trauma.

I've taken a dog called cookie for a ride.

I've gone to buy food for the dogs.

I've bathed a little dog named chamoyada.

I will attend sterilization and adoptions campaings.

I will provide food and water to the dogs I meet on the street.

I will colaborate on awareness-raising talks.

This foundation is located in Mexico City so on weekends I transfer to the shelter which takes me 1 hour  

The Center for Adoption and Animal Rescue (CARA) is a non-profit foundation, which has grown considerably, apart from we have standardization campaigns

 in my volunteering I have done the following

 I have rescued more than 20 dogs from the street and in bad condition

I have learned to vaccinate dogs

I have loaded sacks for the dogs' food and feed them

I have found families for the dogs

 I will go to the sterilization campaign

I will cleaning the shelter

I will taking care of a puppy in bad condition

I will moderating street dogs

I will look for families for more dogs

Volunteering: Face-to-Face

This volunteering is aimed at all those people who want to generate a change in the life of a dog or a cat and have time during the week. You can be the diference, come and participate in volunteering so you can meet them, help them and live with them, helping their emotional rehabilitation.

The volunteering is in Mexico City and the metropolitan area, their schedules are very accesible since they can be chosen.

The climate in the Mexico city is very varied but usually is between 23° and 25° Celcius.

The trip would be by car by road from Toluca to Mexico City or to the place where the event will take place, although sometimes it maybe by bus. And to save a little more money, I would find a cheap hotel near the place and stay for a few days.

I've saved a pregnant dog.

I've fed a few stray dogs.

I've cleaned a portion of land to build a little house.

I've participated in an adoptation campage.

I've rescued a cat in bad condition.

I will save more dogs and cats.

I'm going to feed the street dogs near my house.

I'll adop some dogs.

Street dogs foundation

I am from Mexico so I had to take a plane to United States to help in this foundation.

The weather here in Memphis is nice, although sometimes it is kind of hot for me because we reach 30º in Celsius.

The name of the foundation I am talking about is Streetdog Foundation, and the purpose is to take care and find a family for most of the street dogs possible.

This is thus far what I have done as a volunteer

We’ve found a family for some homeless dogs

We’ve rescued homeless dogs

We’ve healed dogs

We’ve fed hungry dogs

We’ve taken care of dogs

I am thinking of helping more in the next few days

I will train some of the dogs

I will heal dogs

I will rescue more dogs
