I can’t sleep, and when I do I wake up with a headache from clenching my jaw so hard. I can’t focus on a book or show. Getting out of bed to work on what’s left of my job feels like a joke.

So many of my friends have lost their jobs and mine will be gone soon, so I’m stressed for me, but I also feel terrible when I’m more stressed for me than I am for them. I work in an industry where you already had to be delusional to believe you’ll make it, and now the entire industry feels like its falling apart. And on top of all of it, the thing I’ve dreamed of and been working toward for years came true and then was taken away and literally thrown unceremoniously in the trash.

We’ve been told not to talk about what happened publicly, but it feels so unfair that other people this has happened to get to be angry, get to see people rally and validate their anger. I’m jealous of the volume of their rage. Me and my friends, we have to grieve our jobs, our time with each other, our art in all its forms quietly.
