A stylish and interesting horror. The slow pace and quietness was a great mood setter without it causing the movie to drag

A fun zombie musical who's tone seems to fit a younger audience but has a few adult themed jokes. A couple catchy songs too.

Terrific visuals and an interesting story with the right mix of subtle humour and tense horror elements. Wonderful use of myth and tradition, along with the drug taking to create situations of unease.

An Elephant Sitting Still (2018) Bo Hu
16-11-2019
A bleak but beautiful film. A very unique film in that it has an almost 4 hour run time and scenes are usually composed of long tracking shots, and wonderful use of point of focus on the characters, it is constantly engaging and never predictable. A very impressive feat of film making and storytelling

Her Smell (2018) Alex Ross Perry
08-11-2019
Spends an awful long time showing the destructive life that the main character lives and the problems she has, before going into her redemption story and how everyone around her has to cope and prepare for her unreliable behaviour because of their love and admiration for her

The Wasp Woman (1959) Roger Corman

A very fun b-movie with silly practical effects that wouldn't pass in the lowest budget movies today, but still enjoyable and a little terrifying in the right places

Blind (2014) Eskil Vogt

A really fantastic look at the paranoia and wild imagination of a newly blind woman. Cleverly filmed so the audience is never quite sure what is real or imagined

Funny Ha Ha (2002) Andrew Bujalski

Although the main character is relatable in her quest for a relationship, a job, and general progress in her life post school, the film fails to say anything too profound or revelatory
