The Ring’s original motion picture soundtrack is available on vinyl for the first time for $40 via Waxwork Records. Shipping in March, it has been approved by director Gore Verbinski and composer Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, Dune).

The double-LP album is pressed on 180-gram colored vinyl (Disc 1: “Samara & The Well” green and black marble; Disc 2: “Cursed VHS Tape" black with white splatter). It’s housed in a gatefold jacket with matte satin coating featuring art by Matt Needle, a 12x12 insert, and liner notes by Verbinski.

The saddest thing about The Ring is Samara's situation. Her parents are surelly horrible people, they abused her, isolated her and murdered her, but even if they didn't do it, she was still damned to hurt people. Because she IS a demon. The first movie let it clear that Anna was infertile and she found unnatural ways of getting pregnant, this is how Samara was born. She doesn't belong to nature, she is a stranger to our world. This is why she has evil and unstopable powers. It is very tragic and unfair that a child has to pay the price for her PARENTS' sins. Samara has only one reason to exist, that is killing and torturing. Abusing, isolating and brutally murdering her made everything worse because now she is consumed by a vengeful rage against humanity. Anyway, Samara is such a tragic character in many ways.
