No fucking shit. I remember back when Vogue made that lingerie photoshoot with Billie. Everyone was celebrating it, libfems were sooo happy that she was embracing her sexuality!!!! It felt so twisted to me. Why does reappropriating the own body and sexuality for young women always means acting according to the desire of the patriarchy? I'm so glad she realized this. She's still very young, being aware of this violent strategy is very important.

It is frankly absurd that someone can tell you to your face that they're not a woman specifically because of all the deep truths and complicated feelings within them that are not within any of the billions of women on the planet and then expect you to act like they're not directly speaking ill of women and the smallness of the lives they imagine all other women to inhabit. It is really and truly one thing to have terms that indicate personal discomfort or comfort with any variety of things and entirely another to ask that everyone else pretend women are all less complicated creatures than you are

It's worrying to me that this resurgence in young women wanting more serious feminism is marked by little, to no patience or sympathy for liberal women that do and perpetuate sexist ideas ( they cause damage to women, that's the reasoning ) but right wing women must be deeply understood and actions are never their own ( because they're coerced unlike liberal women who live in a post sexist world )

And you think women are going to take a brand of feminism seriously that doesn't have sympathy for them but has all the patience in the world to understand why conservative women are like that ??? Conservative women who actively take part in striping women of rights ? You think people work like that ??? Or will think you're not serious and just a shock jockey. It's not to say right wing women aren't coerced but the reaction to liberal women acting out because, they're also being indoctrinated by sexist ideas, isn't understanding but mockery . Some of you are just contrarians and now liberal feminist ideas are more mainstream, it doesn't have the same thrill

I'm not even against calling women pathetic or being harsh but some are motivated by mocking liberals and nothing else. Some hills aren't worth dying on but if you keep dying on them, people are going to think that's your main concern

Men really claim to be the more emotionally repressed sex while beating women and children and physically assaulting each other over petty squabbles and putting holes in the drywall and screaming obscenities at strangers and lighting a city on fire when their favorite sports teams wins or loses and shooting up schools and workplaces and raping women and children. They claim that these are just symptoms of how emotionally stifled they are and then claim women’s rampant eating disorders, self harm, suicide attempts etc are a sign we’re emotionally liberated and free to express our feelings in a safe and respectful environment. What level of delusional narcissist do you have to be on to come up with that?
