Both of those are fair enough! Let us know if you need any help with testing either of these books!
I will let you know. Thank you.

I just imagine you read the second one and a bunch of toxic plants or poison ivy spawns and traps the coward
I do hope that will not be the case.

I have a feeling that Mags and/or her lady may be interested in the first one, if it gets cleared for casual reading?
As for the third one.. you can always throw it down the cursed staircase and have the monster eat it? /hj
If it is cleared and is deemed safe, then they are welcome to try it as long as they are able to document it. The account of the person that gave it to us said that it was a perfectly safe story with little true danger.
That is a possibility, though that does not seem like an appropriate disposal method if it does turn out to be dangerous.

Woah.. it definitely sounds like the second book has a similar nature (pun intended) to the disease book, though luckily in a more harmless way. I may also be superstitious, but I think you shouldn't risk it with the third book and just keep it locked up somewhere safe.
We do not intend to immediately begin reading any of them. Siegel has already provided a means to test the second one during his next traveling hunt in which he plans to bring the book with him and read it in an area in which the flora can be easily identified and recovered. We are still in discussion what to do with the first one as well as the third one.

Huh, those all sound neat! Have you figured out what exactly is anomalous about the first two yet?
The first book is not outwardly anomalous, though those that have sent the books have claimed that those who handle it and read it will believe themselves to truly be within the story during the time of ready it until they stop. Their accounts come complete with detailing sights, smells, textures, tastes, and sounds.
The second book is a bit subtle, but upon reading it many will find the flora from the book to be found local to their own regions shortly after reading it. If this is true, then it is similar to the book that was sent to us some time ago in which the diseases were brought to life upon reading. We are interested to see if these books hold some tie to each other.
The final book was brought in under the impression that reading it will lead to misfortune befalling those that read it. This was debunked, as the events that the individual that provided that account described sounded as if they were in motion prior to reading.

Have your odd books arrived by now?
They have. One appears to be a fantasy-esque book titled 'My Visit to Quimsby', the second volume specifically. The other is a book on flora local to the Southern Canadian area. There is also an unpublished book recounting the life of an unknown woman, though that book has been deemed non-anomalous.

About how big is your collection of oddities overall now? :o
We have just over a dozen items now. We hope to continue expanding as we progress.

Do you know anything specific about it?
We know that a family does not want them and that they were originally bought from an auction.

Ough, let's hope they're not like the disease book?
It does not seem like it is dangerous, fortunately.

Have you been working on anything interesting lately? Any new oddities?
We have recently learned of a few peculiar books that we are currently in the process of having transported here. We are not fully aware of what they are capable of yet but they do not appear to be dangerous.

thoughts on Nila trading with someone through a yam?
It is a bit odd but I will not stop him from doing as he wishes.

If you were told that a being could grant you any wish in the world (aside from using it to wish for more wishes) and there was no strings attached and no twisting the wish like a monkey's paw or djinn, what would you wish for?
Oh-... ... Hm. ... I suppose that I would wish for Nicia ad Nila to remain healthy and happy. That will always be a matter of the most importance to me.

... Yes, it does seem that I have options.

I just realized that your entire family has names that start with the letters 'n' and 'i', and I have no idea how to feel about it. I thought Ines was an exception from the 'Ni-' names, but she just has the letters the other way around. /lh
Yes, we do have a bit of a format. It was surprisingly not intentional.

Huh, that sounds nice! I hope he has something fun for your kids, then!
He likely will. I will have to ask Dupont for more information.

Dupont's friend? Does he have a toy store or so?
He does, yes. He appears to be doing quite well, he even attended the exhibition some time prior.
