My other verse this morning was 2 Timothy 4:7, it starts with "I have fought the good fight"..., it said to me this morning that a good fight is one that we havent lost and yet, worked hard to sustain our position and in doing so for a long period of time will cause us to be tired and weary. We need to remember in this fight we always have a place to rest because Jesus did and does all the hard work. Since our relationship with Jesus is so very intimate, why wouldn't we want to pray in private. He already knows what we need and want but wants to hear us, wants our interaction with Him. To know God is to know His Word. If we don't study the Word, how are we to ever know the truth God would have us understand. We are to always be ready to answer for our faith and speak the truth in love. While also being aware of even our own thoughts so that our motives are focused on Jesus, coming from the Spirit not from our flesh. Holy Father, you are sovereign! How can we understand your ways in times like these? Your Word says in Roman's 8:28, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. This is the hard part....but your Word also says in 1 Cor 4:18, So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. So I now look with different (wet)eyes, as of late, in this long wait while also asking God to include me in what He is doing every day. "None of your business." "I dont want to bother others with my problems." "I'll work through this myself." These are the lies the world tells us. As believers we are to depend on each other. We should have one or two very close believers as confidants. We weren't designed to keep our problems to ourselves, our brains dont react well to holding on to the negative thoughts. The negative thoughts are actually toxic to the brain. It physically creates malformed "branches"in the brain which in turns causes negative physical symptoms in the body.
