Can I ask if you have anything on Ally and Rafisol?

My mental images are "worker drone /badly/ out of the loop" and "not actually a drone at all (potentially: hologram like Ecolo / uplifted WhatsApp bug / Sentinel AI in a drone body)." ...but I am curious to know what you think.

Good question, anon! I am currently thinking of making Ally a worker drone and Rafisol a 'rogue' disassembly drone (as in, a DD that isn't from Primp and is actually hostile, unlike Amitie or Klug). I do have an idea for these two that will be seen in a future chapter to Jugem Drones.

I would say that Rafisol being somewhat like the key bug (aka, the WhatsApp bug) or a drone with Sentinel AI is a pretty neat idea, although I'm not sure if I could fit the latter idea into another character. With the drones on the planet where this AU is set having a past shrouded in mystery, I'm not sure if Sentinels exist in this AU (but then again, the AbsoluteSolver is present here...).

Draco Centauros

♀️ | Hybrid

A worker drone with disassembly drone arms, wings, and tail.

The horns aren't real per se, but she can't remove them because they're super-glued to her head.

Also, since her body isn't capable of it, she can not retract her wings, so they're pretty much always out. Not that she minds anyway.

She also has the ability to breathe fire, but doesn't do it often because it causes her temperature to rise up to the point where she would risk overheating.

Still a rival of Arle.

And attached to beauty contests, too.

Despite being part disassembly drone (which are equivalent to vampires), Draco displays more draconic mannerisms than she does vampiric ones (hence, her name).

Happy Year of the Dragon! Also, the glow on one of her fingers is a mistake.

Lemres

♂️ | Dissessembly Drone

He is the only disassembly drone in this AU to have the AbsoluteSolver as a means of recovery in case of no materials available. Marle does not have a particular program, but instead relies on filaments to revive. And while Amitie does have a program to let her to gather materials before recovery, it is a safer program that purposefully avoids sentient beings.

He met Feli a good while back when he was still a worker drone. He was running away from his previous life (yes, that part of the canon in Puyo Puyo applies here) when they met.

One night, Lemres protected Feli from something dangerous. He lived, but was barely functioning. Not wanting to see him like this, Feli ended up repairing and upgrading him into a disassembly drone. (only Feli knows how to build a disassembly drone, let alone upgrade a worker drone into one).

Lemres knows a lot more about the AbsoluteSolver than he lets on to people like Raffina and Ringo. He has good intentions in doing so, though; he really doesn't want to scar them with the truth.

He doesn't do the "elongated X" (><) on his visor. His normal eyes (the ones on his visor) always appear shut.

Instead of using his hand-switching abilities and whatnot, he instead relies on the magic he has.

His wand acts as a magic amplifier (disassembly drones in this AU have less magical ability by default) so he can cast his light spells.

Feli came from another planet (not the same one as Marle) and was disposed when she was younger(operations terminated, although not even she knows what she was doing beforehand).

After being revived having the AbsoluteSolver, she was sent into the planet where my AU takes place just so she wouldn't harm anyone.

She currently lives far from society, for various reasons.

She's still attached to Lemres.

She is still wearing her "Marked for dissessembly" cuff out of pride.

She is capable of dowsing without the use of the AbsoluteSolver.

When she "goes haywire", she cannot hold her holographic projection and reveals her eldritch form.

Marle & Squares

♀️ | Dissessembly Drone

Marle came from another planet, and was also once a worker drone.

In her previous life, she was a general of an army, particularly one of the armies that fought in a great war long ago.

In one battle, however, Marle became badly injured. It wasn't exactly fatal, but she could not be out on the field because of it.

She was fortunate enough to become repaired, although upgraded into a dissessembly drone like some of her fallen fellow soldiers. Her army eventually won the war.

The large text on the band on her leg, which has been there since she had become a dissessembly drone, reads "分解ドローン マール" (Bunkai (Dissessembly) Drone Marle). There are some smaller text displaying some additional information (hence, the small lines on the band).

Following the war, Marle retired from the army and hid from society where she would eventually create Squares.

Squares got the AbsoluteSolver a while after his creation. Marle makes sure that it won't fully corrupt him.

The right side of Squares' visor is broken due to an accident involving other disassembly drones some time before he and his sister fled to the planet my AU is set.

Thanks to the visor damage, his vision became impaired. Following this, Marle had to code him to recognize her with the green band on her leg.

His messages display on the left side of his visor, again due to the visor damage.

Squares speaks entirely in Japanese. While Marle speaks English, the two of them can understand each other.

Marle is quite protective of Squares when it comes to other dissessembly drones. Even when the drone(s) in question are benevolent, she's not exactly known for friendly first impressions when it comes to meeting dissessembly drones.

Even after they left their birth (creation?) planet, they still live in seclusion due to Squares having the AbsoluteSolver.

Marle, alongside the disassembly drones that were in her army, are immune to sunlight, which disassembly drones are normally weak to.

The concept of MD!Squares and MD!Marle were created by @squares-the-cosmosrectangle, alongside the lore for Squares (I did the lore for Marle) and most of the design.

Donguri Gaeru

Species

The planet my AU is set on is perpetually cold, but while it's inhospitable to humans, smaller biological fauna are still able to live there.

Donguri Gaerus in my AU are smaller than the original and also have thick, gray skin for better defense against the cold. They can be seen in artificial small hot springs and in the holes of trees.

His old left arm was detached from his body and damaged beyond repair, so he got a dissessembly drone arm as a replacement.

His left eye turned yellow some time following his left arm being replaced. No one knows why.

His core was recycled from a dissessembly drone as well (and, apparently, from the same exact body his arm was taken from). His body was thus built with a projector on the back for the Cyan Soul to pop out of.

He can play the guitar.

She's still jealous with Amitie, for the same reason (ability to unlock a special power to cast powerful spells).

Ringo Ando (& Ecolo)

Ecolo was given to Ringo shortly after she first visited Primp Town. She just got acess to the AbsoluteSolver's powers a couple days earlier, and Primp (experienced with a virus like that) does try to be accommodating to drones that have it. (Ecolo in this AU is a hologram assistant)

Wearing a hard hat is more common in Suzuran than anywhere else.

Ringo doesn't carry an apple because...well, the planet my AU is set on is perpetually cold like Copper 9 (although smaller biological fauna lives on the AU planet) so growing most crops is quite difficult.

Ringo never thought that dissessembly drones existed until she met Amitie.

The Puyo decoration on her hard hat, like the hairclip of the original, is gifted to her by her grandmother.

Arle Nadja & Carbuncle

No one knows what Carbuncle did in its past life, but Arle's parents found it in Orsolo Cemetery powered off. They ended up repairing and booting back up Carbuncle and then gave it to Arle when she was very young.

Like Amitie, Arle barely knows anything about the AbsoluteSolver. The only person she knew had it was Raffina before Ringo entered the picture.

Carbuncle uses It/Him pronouns in this AU.

Carbuncle is powered by the Rubelcrack (the red gem on his forehead) and is built in a way to where he can fire a beam using it.

Arle travels to dungeons on occasion.

She has traveled to various places, but hasn't been everywhere.

Is (quite literally) a worker drone in a dissessembly drone's body (was transferred into a dissessembly drone body from an untrained neural network shell (baby drone body)).

Her hair isn't dyed blonde, the gradient is natural.

Wears a cap on her tail needle/stinger most of the time to not harm herself or others (she even wears it to sleep).

Barely knows anything about the AbsoluteSolver (the only reason is due to having a classmate that has it *coughcoughRaffinacoughcough*)
