it’s crazy how much diversity there can be in one species…these are all pictures of the same bird species (red-tailed hawk)

Is it just me, seeing all these “how to cope with shifts” “wear a tail to school” etc. videos, thinking that… we can restrain ourselves? In public or at school, I’ve never let out a howl, bark, except subtle canine body behaviour that I do. I’ve never had to distract myself from shifts, or had to wear gear to school or wherever. It paints alterhumans as beings who can’t control these things and would need some kind of special treatment, while basically all of us, adults at least, seem like your normal human being.

#i think… i think a lot of kids entangled in social media end up exaggerating their struggles because they think it makes them more valid? #or something #something to be said for how social media makes people think they have to behave in certain ways to be like Everyone Else #when really Everyone Else is thinking the same thing?
