Watching episode 12 and I had no idea how right I was. Holy crap. THAT'S AMORE.

I laughed so hard at the end of episode 11 of Dungeon Meshi because it ends with this effectively creepy/depressing ending shot that's immediately followed by the ending credits, which features a song that is literally called, "Party!!" It was made funnier because all I could think of was this ProZD video. And yeah, I know.

I'm legit into the story and do wonder where the fuck it's going, but that was still pretty jarring.

Got high and watched one of the movies Dave liked as a kid, Better Off Dead. He thought Dana Snyder was in it. It was alright. There was a dancing burger in it and I liked the absurd newspaper kid thing.

Anyway, Dave thought Dana Snyder was in that movie.

No but you gotta understand part of what makes Sonny Boy such a good coming of age narrative is that things just happen. The world doesn't explain itself or really even make sense, and you can't change that. It's a choice to accept this and keep moving forward, or to stay static and never know. That's what coming of age stories are about.

I glommed on to him at random, so I'm pleasantly surprised that Daniel Radcliffe is actually an OK guy. Seriously, I expect very little out celebs and yet they still manage to disappoint me these days. That guy seems alright.

Watching this in the year 2024 because of my weird tastes, so I see the cool robot fights in the intro and hope that they don't happen in the show.

I do wish there was a little more robot action, but the show's weird enough that I can't really hate it and do wanna see more from the franchise.

Continuing my mech shit with Patlabor, currently the original 80s OVA.

A niche choice, but I do like the idea of a world where giant robots are just kinda there.
