You had prepared the big weekly breakfast for your little family in peace today. You slept well and deep with Din taking on all the baby duties. This was completely your day of the week. After putting down the last bit of drinks for breakfast you heard heavy steps come closer. When you looked up your heart grew ten sizes bigger. Din had his hair all over the place and a tired look on his face. A style matched by both of the children in his arms, also looking at you. “Ba.” Grogu let out exhausted while Dodie catapulted her head back onto Din’s shoulder. “Bounty hunting was easier than the last 12 hours.” He grumbled in his deep morning voice. “You all came out alive, so I’m proud of you.” You kissed him on the nose and then did the same to your kids.

Chapter 8 - Parenting

Grogu was clapping giddily, watching Din hold Dodies little hands. „C‘mon princess, one step at a time.“ He encouraged his one year old daughter. „Gogu!“ Dodie yelled and looked at Grogu who squealed back at her. The little girl took one wobbly step forward, „Good, just like that. Can you do one more for me?“ She took another wobbly step, „Yeees, just like that my little warrior, one more.“ Dodie took another step and then let herself sag, Din immediately picking her up. „That‘s my warrior princess.“ He nuzzled into her belly with a growl, hearing her giggle. His favorite melody. „Dada, Malo?“ She grabbed his bearded cheek. „Yes, dada has some Mandalore duties to fulfill.“ He smiled at her curious little face. You were on a little trip for diplomacy with his best men. He and his group had baby duty. „Come?“ She used his own eyes against him. Oh how he hated that she had his eyes sometimes. „That‘s nothing for little princesses.“ He cooed and tickled her a little but she frowned. „Wawo Pinses.“ She crossed her arms. „Yeah, I know, you‘re a warrior princess, but that‘s nothing for your beautiful little eyes darling. Dada has to be very strict with some people there.“ He explained carefully. „No! Come!“ She pouted at him, stubborn as both her parents. „Dodie!“ He raised one brow, but she held her frown. They held a staring contest for almost a minute before he sighed, „Fine.“ A squeal and claps came in return.

„Princess? You will be ready soon.“ Your favorite elder in the Sorgan village smiled at you. You sighed deeply, „Finally.“ You back had been killing you for the last 6 weeks of pregnancy and you were starting to get really cranky towards your adoptive son and husband. „I‘ll start preparing a couple things that will ease the pain.“ She nodded before she slowly left the hut. Din was sitting next to you by the head end of the bed, his legs bouncing nervously. „Stop that.“ You mumbled and he stilled in an instant. Too terrified of an angry pregnant wife. You had developed the strength of a mother recently and he felt like you could crush him with your bare hands if you wanted to. „Sorry, don‘t wanna stress you out.“ He murmured and leaned above you to place a kiss on your forehead. „Dank ferrik!“ You inhaled fast and he stilled again, „Breathe, darling.“ „What do I look like I‘m doing.“ You grumbled beneath him and saw him smile wider. „Why the smile, huh?“ „You‘re hot when you‘re mad. I‘m just trying my best to…help?“ He didn‘t quite help. How could he? You were about to just bring life into the world. „I know and I love you but I just want it to be over with,“ you whined and felt his hand run over your cheek. „It‘ll be worth it, cyar‘ika.“ He placed a gentle kiss onto your lips.

Chapter 6 - Mand’alor

*Urgent Message* Din pressed the button to play the transmission. „There is a group of Mandalorians attacking several empire and rebellion outposts. You happen to know them?“ Greef‘s voice asked through the white noise. „How many?“ „Three or four, my sources aren‘t quite sure.“ „Did they see any specific weapons?“ Grumbling he leaned his heat against the back of the pilot‘s seat. „Some kind of sword they said.“ A sigh left the Mandalorian‘s lungs. „Last location?“ „Heading towards Nevarro.“ His face went grim. „I‘m on my way.“ The transmission stopped. „Great.“ He mumbled, „Way to ruin my great day.“

It wasn‘t long until both of you were prepared and in hyperspace en route to Nevarro. There was more info coming through over time. Two female, one male, dark sword, incredibly ruthless, preaching like a Moff and talking about Mandalore and revenge. „Great.“ Din mumbled next to you and aggressively punched the button turning the message off. „So it‘s Bo-Katan.“ „Seems like it.“ „And she seeks revenge.“ „Apparently.“ „And that dark saber seems to hold some relevance to that.“ „I have no clue.“ You heard another sigh from him. „What?“ „It‘s just…I had something else planned today. Specifically today.“ „Oh.“ You pouted and took his gloved hands. „It was supposed to be a surprise for you.“ He went on and put his other hand on top of yours. „Oh?“ You looked up at his visor with those soft eyes that usually made him melt. „Yes, and the whole village was in on it. Why does this crazy lady need to do her saber revenge trip today? I just wanted to have a great celebration of us with some friends. Can‘t even have that.“ You never saw him so emotional about something and your eyes widened. „It‘s alright, Din. Whatever it is surely can wait. I know that I can.“ You gave him a reassuring smile. „Besides, you should put that anger into stopping her.“ He nodded sharply.

Chapter 5 - Arcaro

You were on Arcaro again, your monthly visit to the nurse droid was on the plan. Din had gotten more and more protective of you over the last weeks. Anyone looking at you the wrong way got a slight hint at the blaster on his hip. „Din, relax. Just get me to the nurse.“ You chuckled at his irritability. „Sorry, cyare.“ He noticed how tense he had gotten and grabbed your hand again.

„End of fifth month, healthy, you‘ll need to drink a lot more now. Do you want to know what it will be?“ Din nodded eagerly and you smiled. He could take off the helmet in here with just the droid present. „It will be a little girl.“ The nurse droid beeped and Din got teary eyed. A little princess, just like he wanted. „I‘ll give you some things that will help with swelling.“ As always the droid knew what was coming at you. „Thank you.“ You sat up and took it from her. „Anything I can help her with?“ Din asked with his back extra straight. Not that he had anything to prove to the non-living being. „Helping around the house, massaging, long walks.“ He nodded in response, he could do that. You were sent on your way shortly after, picking up some food on the way.

Gentle kisses were littered across the tiny bulge of your belly as you slowly opened your eyes. „Oh, I think we woke your mama up, ad‘ika.“ He whispered to your unborn child. You lifted the blanket, „Am I interrupting a team meeting?“ „Yeah, we were just having a talk about not making your back hurt in the next few weeks.“ He gave you a sleepy smirk. „Any conclusion?“ „Sadly, no.“ You both broke the seriousness then and there and he came up to face you and nuzzle your face. „Sleep well, princess?“ He asked with a small kiss. „Yes.“ You smiled before feeling a weird alien butterfly feeling in your lower belly. „What?“ He looked panicked. „I think it‘s moving.“ His face lit up like a binary sunrise above you. „And?“ „It feels weird.“ You cringed for a second. „Can‘t even imagine that.“ He huffed and laid down next to you on his side, hand wandering to your belly that was finally showing. You could still hide it by sucking in your stomach, but if you wore the right clothes you were very much pregnant and showing. „I can‘t feel anything.“ He mumbled and pouted. „Well, it‘s not kicking or anything. Just moving. It‘s supposed to be a slithery butterfly kinda feeling for me. You‘ll probably feel it in three to four weeks.“ You explained to the intently listening man giving you doe eyes. „I can‘t wait.“ He scrunched his nose in giddiness. „I know, Din, I know.“ You gently scratched over his scruffy jaw.

Concerned Parents

It‘s like the Hutts but worse and more uptight.“ Fennec had explained about the shady looking hut you were all looking at. „I‘ll go in alone, you‘re my backup.“ Din looked at you, Fennec and Boba. Your eyes widened but you kept your mouth shut. You all wanted the baby, whatever it takes. Everyone agreed to his plan. Fennec and Boba would take long range, you‘d be close enough to barge in, just in case all hell broke loose. He left his visible armor in Boba‘s ship, put something on over his chest plate and hid his face under a cloth wrapped around his face, a thinner material around his eyes that he could look through. „Let‘s go.“

The little one loved it here last time, so we figured we would come here for a while.“ You explained and took Grogu who started to fuzz. „You are always welcome here, after everything you did.“ She nodded and showed you to follow her to her hut. There was a loud squeak in your arms when Grogu saw the children playing. You grinned and walked towards Winta which noticed you seconds later. „Have an eye on him, yeah?“ You set Grogu down in front of her and got an eager nod back.

With your hands you tried to push down on the worse wound in your left leg, trying to hold back grunts and whimpers. „Let the final ships fly out and kill what is left. And this one? Kill her.“ You heard and looked up to a blaster shot halting mid air in front of you, giving you enough time to dodge aside. Before you could even think anything you watched as a red lightsaber was pushed through the man shooting you like his body was butter. You grabbed the blaster that had fallen down and shot at the men that were coming at Kylo Ren. Watching as he took them all out one by one in what must‘ve been less than a minute. You only managed to blast two to death. Heavy steps went to the control panel and a link was put into it, watching the missiles on the big screen go red one by one. You were busy getting off your holster to use it as a way to stop more blood from leaving your wound.

Supply Closet

“I’ll get you, freakin’-” Poe was running after you and the entire rest of the core team for telling BB to haul a giant snowball at him in an elaborate masterplan. “Y/N!” He was right behind you, too close for your taste. “BB, help meee.” You yelled and the tiny droid put himself between you two so Poe needed to dodge him and you had more distance again. “Why would you betray me like that, buddy?” He frowned at his tiny friend before continuing to run towards the hallway you went into. An arm grabbed you into a storage room and you were kept from screaming as the door closed again. You looked up to see Finn, equally out of breath. “Worth it.” You said panting and getting back to a normal heart rate. “Huh?” You heard outside and both held your breath. “BB, you check the doors.” You both heard and panicked. “BB, don’t open this door, I know you can hear us, tiny friend.” You whispered and heard him roll past the door and both of you exhaled and smiled at each other. You looked around to see the boxes full of tech replacements and how little room there was in here. “So worth it.” He grinned. “His face.” You giggled and pushed your hand against his chest lightly. “BB, check that door.” You heard outside and looked at each other so awkwardly close. You saw him go through possibilities hectically, before mumbling, “Just go with it.” He grabbed your face and kissed you without further warning as you heard the door open slightly, little beeps saying that nothing unusual is in there and closing it. You went apart again, “Smart boy.” “Shut up,” you mumbled and kissed him back. His arms linked behind your back, pulling you closer. Your hands grabbed onto his hoodie laces to pull him down. “Can’t believe that this is the way that happens.” He mumbled against your lips before pulling you close again. You got so lost in each other that you didn’t notice the door opening until Poe cleared his throat and you went apart. You both offered innocent smiles at him and he grumbled. “Can’t even be mad at you.” He rolled his eyes and smiled between the both of you. You felt your hand being grabbed as Poe went searching for Rey and looked up. “So, uuuh.” You heard above you and chuckled, dragging him towards your corners to hang out.

Both of you had danced around each other a lot, sharing tiny details here and there. You had grown closer to each other fast. It was amazing how fast two people could develop feelings without talking to each other much. The little gestures here and there were enough. But now you were finished counting the weeks on your holopad and you knew something was wrong. You were healthy after growing up in privilege. You didn‘t just stop having your cycle without a reason. The connection you had to your own body was a gift that you knew others couldn‘t indulge in, but it made you frantic even more. If something was off in your body you would‘ve noticed.

Hide & Seek

The women in the room stood as Din had tears across his cheeks and took his helmet back into his hands. „So, how does this darksaber stuff work now?“ Cara cut through the silence. „He has the right to rule Mandalore now.“ Bo-Katan repeated what was said earlier. „He doesn‘t really seem interested in that.“ Cara chuckled and watched Din‘s brown hair being hidden under beskar again. „And he clearly wants you to have it, so fighting really doesn‘t make sense.“ She adds after a short pause. „I know, but that is how it works.“ „Didn‘t you question my creed a couple weeks back? Yeah, might be time to question your story.“ Din came towards them and held the deactivated saber towards her. „I can‘t take it. If you learned about Mandalorian history like I did you would know that.“ She shook her head. „So what do we do now?“ Din angled his head to the side. „You‘re gonna learn about your culture and I‘ll help you rule Mandalore.“ „How do I know that you won‘t just attack me once we do that?“ „You don‘t.“ He took the saber and put it on his belt, „Then I‘m not sure if we can strike a deal.“ „Oh, come on. This could be so easy. He wants to give the saber, you want to have it. Everything between you both is some dumb tradition you don‘t need to give a damn about.“ Care groaned and Bo‘s face snapped over. „It‘s not just some tradition, it‘s the most important tradition that is still left after everything that happened.“ She hissed. „Just…take the saber or you‘ll have to leave me alone for having it and let me learn about the history by myself.“ Din made clear. „We just need to have neutrality here. You can still do stuff on Mandalore. He can learn a couple things. Cooperation. Wonderful thing to exist.“ Cara offered. Din held out his hand, Bo‘s followed and both nodded. You heard your comms crack, „Uh, guys, I might bring some guests.“ The whole room looked at each other and hurried towards the landing bay.

I��m dead if I do this.“ He looked between you both. „Then I‘ll go.“ Din grumbled. „You can‘t, it needs to scan your face.“ Mayfeld explained in a hushed tone. „Give that thing to me.“ You held out your hand. „But-“ You held the hand out even more prominently. „Fine.“ He grumbled. You weren‘t a trained fighter. Just the only other person in the team that wasn‘t a registered criminal to the ISB. But you felt motherly towards the child and wanted it back just as bad as Din.

Trips to the Cabin

You hated these trips that Frankie planned with his boys once a year. Who enjoyed hanging out in a forest area in a cabin way too small for all of you? And still, here you were, because you loved your man enough to go through this once a year. 

You were all sitting around the campfire on the first evening, talking about some prank Santi had pulled several years ago. You weren‘t in the picture at that point, didn‘t know Santi for that long, so all this information simply felt like nostalgia that you couldn‘t participate in. Instead you were staring at your mug halfway filled with tea and tried to concentrate on the warmth of the fire. When the topic changed from Santi‘s shenanigans to trashing old superiors you set down your mug and got up. Of course Frankie noticed that you hadn‘t said much in the last few minutes and looked bored, but he didn‘t want to miss these conversations either. Instead he gave you a soft smile that you returned.

When the topic went to the girl they used to have in their training back in the day, Frankie just zoned out a little. That was until he noticed your figure walking around the trees nearby and got up to make sure you‘re okay.

Pedro Boys - In An Apocalypse

A/N: I planned this whole headcanon list before Pedro was cast as Joel Miller for TLOU, but I also gotta brag that I predicted it two weeks before it was announced and that felt crazy. So now more than ever I wanna post this one.

What kind of apocalypse are we talking about? I‘m talking something like out of „The Division“ or „The Last Of Us“, there are people to fight, no matter if it‘s zombies or just enemies. And the resources are limited. That‘s the only scenario I gave myself. Fictional!Javier - Protector/Hunter/Strategist He‘s a DEA agent, the man is a protector and hunter at heart because of his job. He‘ll be the first to protect any other people that can‘t defend themselves, hunt down any groups being a danger to the little settlement he‘s a part of and strategize how to make the neighborhood safer with the team leaders. Din Djarin - Team Leader/Hunter He has beskar armor, a beskar spear, the dark saber, and the mind of a hunter. Ideal to be the team leader standing up to bad things for his people. He‘ll gladly hunt down any crime boss for the safety of his settlement and make decisions in their favor. He‘s also not afraid to kick the ass of people within his group to do better.

Marcus Pike - Protector/Strategist He helps with strategy for attacks and resource runs and other than that he protects anyone gathering stuff and needing to be transported. He‘s also a father figure to several teens and teaches them a couple things to survive. The comfort person of the settlement. Marcus Moreno - Team Leader/Protector He‘s a born leader and he leads by example. Katanas, guns, punches. All of it works and is used to protect his little group of people. He doesn‘t hunt people down, but they will regret coming close to his little place in this empty town. Jack Daniels - Protector/Hunter He has the skill to protect and hunt and he will use it against others. Especially protecting people while they get resources. Dave York - Infiltrator He‘ll be the first to offer spying on enemies from the inside. Doesn‘t matter how big and secretive the group is, he will join it and destroy it from the inside out. Oberyn Martell - Weapon Creation/Trainer You need poison? He has it. You need knives and spears? He gifts them to you. You need to figure out how to use all of that? He‘ll offer to help. The most charming weapons man in the apocalyptic world. He‘s also fiercely protective of the young women in the settlement and will cut throats of people making them uncomfortable. Frankie Morales - Protector/Strategist He‘s sick of fighting, but he will strategize and protect nonetheless. He likes keeping within the settlement and help with planning resource routes. His favorite place is the little house they use as a school for the children. When he needs to relax, he just stands in the door frame and watches them learn. Maxwell Lord - Diplomat If Max isn‘t dead, he‘s likely to be the diplomat of the settlement. He knows how to talk his way out of and into anything. He depends on his protectors and pretty much anyone else in the settlement, but he is an important asset to create allyships for food and electricity. Ezra - Gatherer/Hunter He‘s been hunting and gathering in space all this time, he has no problems holding his own in an apocalyptic world. He has his bag for gathering and his gun by his side for attacking. Sometimes he reads the kids bedtime stories or helps with the settlement‘s school. Max Phillips - Protector He is already undead, so he might as well use it to protect the people that are dear to him. He‘s great at keeping the perimeter around the settlement clear and thanks to his vampire abilities, he‘s a great early alarm system for people approaching the settlement. Joel Miller - Protector/Strategist The apocalypse dad of all apocalypse dads. He‘s a protector and a planner for survival first and foremost. He‘s more of a nomad and less of a settlement guy. Pero Tovar - Hunter I mean, come on, he’s born to fuck shit up. He’ll be the first to volunteer to hunt some idiots down and the first to bring back a ton of valuable stuff. He might be grumpy, but he’s here to h
