Sup, I'm a newer GW2 blog but I really do like this game so I decided to make this! | RedArmyGrif.2387 (NA)/RedGrifTheSecond.3475 (EU) | I both like and follow from my main @RedArmyGrif
hello, I realized I haven't exactly made many posts recently but uh, the new story kinda doesn't even suck anymore and I am just let down completely.
That being said, in talks with @legendary-alliance-stance, @legendary-assassin-stance and @guildwarsgirl I have made the executive decision to entirely rewrite SotO to make it Not suck. (I made the decision a month ago but waited till the story concluded to actually get my thoughts down LMAO)
I don't really have much, but what I do have is Wizard Plot -> Fractals (could change?) -> Kryptis Invasion.
The wizards themselves are trimmed down to just four (Isgarren, Mabon, Dagda and Lyhr) and are mostly just observers, occasionally stepping in to "neutralize" any hostile magics around. (they also explain that they couldn't help with the Elder Dragons because of the magics they use and the fact that if a Dragon were to consume one of them it would quickly spell doom for all of Tyria.)
Basic plot is that a recent string of disappearances have alerted local detectives and you're sent to help investigate when Mabon shows up and asks for your help in finally convincing his fellow wizards to stop being reclusive assholes and finally actually help Tyria.
Fractals season (yes I still use the Living World model) deals with the aftermath of the previous story and Mists Bullshit happens (idfk man I don't even work here)
and finally Kryptis expac (or season???) basically uh, is kinda very Half-Life ish??? where the Kryptis are fleeing Eparch and invading Tyria and messing things up and terraforming the place so you gotta deal with Eparch. (also this threat is NOT world-ending but Eparch is still a dick.)
Y'all I'm still alive, elsewhere than where I normally live still, and I'm missing gw2, and the tag is... negative rn, so like.... tell me some things you like about the game still in the tags or something for when I have wifi...
I dunno if this has happened to anyone else but if you do the new SotO stuff and then go back and do launch SotO (I did the new SotO stuff on one character and then went to another to run the old stuff), Galrath will be cloned and WILL talk over himself.
I would recommend no longer engaging with @/rosy-opal-commander or their alt account @/houseofpinkboombox, because they are a T*RF and a Z*onist. Images below are all from their alt, but came to my attention because they reblogged a post to the wrong account.
Protect your peace how you see fit, and be safe on here.
Context: No kind of judgement is intended whatsoever, I'm simply curious since one user argued that most people who play the game seek instant gratification and therefore usually "buy" the legendary crafting progess with real money. My gut feeling calls BS on that, but I'm curious to see if I'm mistaken!
Darkly ironic in a way that guild wars announces a new way they're gonna drop content to keep people interested and 'avoid content drought' yet in the past year this is the most amount of people I've ever seen disinterested in the game and do other things
