"It's a beautiful city and I'm not the biggest fan of flying, so I was tempted to just stay there then make my own way home." Keller laughed, took Alder's arm and allowed him to lead her to the bar. After giving her order to the bartender she turned back to him. "I know we hardly know each other Alder, but I have a proposition that may interest you."

For a few seconds, Keller didn't move. She just starred at the human girl inquisitively. Giving a short snort, Keller turned away to leave but then whipped back around and hissed in shock, recognising the girl finally and realising why she had stopped so abruptly. That was Rachel and she smelled very different. Rachel had been there that night at the club when Keller had been poisoned and had taken her to the hospital, she was a caring person, but tonight she smelled like danger. An aura, she was sure was ever-present, but was so subtle Keller had ignored it in her human form. As a panther, she could tell the girl was a threat as easily as adding two plus two.
Rachel looked calm and assertive as she assessed the sleek cat; a normal human would have run by now. Keller's ear's flattened against her head and her mind struggled to decide how to treat the situation; ignore her and run as thanks for last time or attack and eliminate a very active threat? But was she a threat to Keller necessarily? If she turned her back, would Rachel hurt her? Was she a supernatural hunter? She was very conflicted.
Barely a minute had passed, and Keller had to act. There was only one way to find out who Rachel really was and what her intensions where. In a flash, Keller leaped and her senses were electrified, bringing her out of her endorphin haze and into the moment. Every movement was calculated and she fell short of the girl by inches. Not growling, but grey eyes narrowed, Keller waited for her reaction before making another move. Would she attempt to kill Keller now that it was obvious she wasn't just your standard panther or retreat?
Primal || Keller & Rashel
In the woods once again. Somehow Rashel felt oddly safer in the woods surrounded by all the wood. She had put all her attention into training again, choosing to ignore the fact that she had yet to talk to her mother after their disagreement. After Nyala had left, she hadn’t had anyone to talk to or to tell, so she did what she always did. She hardened her heart and turned a blind eye to the pesky little things others called emotions. Instead she focused completely on getting back into shape, especially because she was very likely the only other hunter in town and almost everyone now knew who she was.
As she walked through the woods, it was starting to get a little chillier and the sky was falling darker. Pulling her jacket closer around her, she kept going, trying to get home before the sun set completely. Just as she was going, out of no where, a black blur appeared, almost knocking her down. It slowed when it saw her, and somehow she could swear a flash of recognition passed through its eyes when it saw her. Watching the animal, she thought she might recognize it. It was a panther, and she had no idea that there were panthers in Pyro Hills. Somehow it seemed odd to her. The animal didn’t appear violent and Rashel had an odd feeling like the panther was watching her. She furrowed her brow and focused her attention on the creature before her, disregarding for a moment, the fact that the sun was setting quickly.

Keller's whole world changed after she shifted. She could see heat, feel every object in the woods around her, she could hear a small rodent digging frantically a few feet behind her and the wind rushing through the leaves. Keller flexed her delicate yet heavy paws on the mossy earth and starred up at the darkening sky, made up of so many colours but none of them blue.
The wind carried the scent of three white tailed deer in the bushes to the east of her, and Keller crouched, leaped and came down running. She needed to run— not only to hunt but on a raw, physical level. Keller ran, and ran, feeling weightless as powerful muscles propelled her forward past flying trees and fleeing animals. But panthers are sprinters, not marathon runners so eventually she had to push to keep going. A hundred more yards. And a hundred more. And a hundred more. She thought as she hissed and her heart pumped faster.
Soon she let herself slow, with her blood singing and her body exhausted. Her senses were sluggish and her sight dim and she almost ran into someone before she smelt them. Keller stopped. Usually now it was a matter of tiptoeing delicately away with her tail between her legs, trying to look harmless and convince the person she encountered that she wasn't going to bite their arm off. But this one was different.

David's pained voice chipped at her resolve. Keller knew she was too controlling and too protective, but she couldn't help herself. She stood, again speechless, as he stumbled over what seemed like an excuse to get away from her. All the emotions she had experienced since meeting David were draining but somehow had made her stronger. Even if he really had to get away to go to Gillian, she didn't care if he was late— when he stepped back and unconvincingly said that he'd call her, the remains of that resolve shattered and just as he begun to walk away did she take three long strides and jump on his back.Wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck, she buried her face in his shoulder and laughed— a raw, a childlike noise.
"We are so messy Blackburn. But I really do love you." She whispered into his ear before hopping off and watching to see what he'd do next. She couldn't force him to do or not do a thing and this she did understand perfectly.

Machines beeped around Keller rhythmically and she could see fluorescent light through her eyelids. Slowly, awareness spread through the rest of her body and she jumped slightly— causing the heart rate monitor to spike in speed. Grey eyes opened suddenly and scanned the room procedurally... she was in a hospital. Blinds were open to show fading stars as the sun rose, black jeans and heels she'd been wearing earlier were folded and sitting on the corner of the bed and finally there was Rachel. Hazy memories struggled to the surface of her mind and in flash, Keller sat up and pulled the IV from her hand, calm but confused.
"Rachel! Do you know what happened? And why the hell am I here?" She hated the place, always preferring to stitch up or set her own injuries. The last thing she could remember was taking a drink from the bartender and the rest was an impenetrable wall of agony... maybe that was it. "Ugh... damn."

Poison || Keller and Rashel
Rashel stared at Keller, not knowing what to do. She was clearly not okay, and there was something that had happened to her. She didn’t know what, and so she did the only thing she could think to do in the given situation. She called for an ambulance. When they said she couldn’t visit unless she was family, she lied casually that she was Keller’s sister. Concerned for the state of the girl, she waited outside the room before going inside. Keller still sat in the bed unconscious, and so Rashel took the chance to sit down in one of the chairs on the side, to wait for Keller to come to.

Keller's mouth tipped into half a smile when he glared at her— anger radiated from his skin, she could almost smell it. When he turned to leave once more, she let her hand slip away and fall to her side, before placing it on her hip and straightening her shoulders.
"I warned you Cade." She whispered to the retreating figure, she was irritated at herself now for being so weak at a vital moment. The visions were actually becoming ridiculous. "And... I'm sorry for that outburst..." Keller rarely apologised, but she knew she owed him. It had been an unfair match and slightly unwarranted if she was honest to herself, You shouldn't be so easily offended sometimes Keller, jeez. She thought stubbornly.

Keller rolled her shoulders, trying to work out the kinks in them and blinked quickly to clear her eyes. The blood from her upper arm ran in rivulets into the blood dripping from her fingertips  but she hardly noticed, it would all heal in minutes and the pain was non-existent to her— grey eyes just remained focused on the wolf in front of her. As he got up to leave, she made no move to stop him, just took a step back so he had a clear path to the door. The dogs always end up with their tails between their legs, she thought a little smugly.
She had been perfectly welcoming until he'd called her... that name, the name she cursed, but she felt almost guilty after spotting the blossoming bruise splashed across his chest. Maybe she'd been too harsh with the pup?
"Hey wait!" Reaching out, she lightly pressed her crimson fingers on his arm. "What's your name?" Keller didn't know why she asked, she didn't really care. Maybe she didn't want him to walk away thinking she'd yelped in pain inflicted by him, maybe her ego was too large.

Keller gasped as Cade pulled her closer and she felt his hand bite into her lower shoulder. Her eyes locked onto his and didn't waver further as he raked bloody trails around her arm.
It was dark and screams pierced her sensitive cat ears. She forced herself to her feet and pain tore through her mind… bone crunched under foot and she howled in pain before she began to attack again.
The vision came unbidden to her mind, making her call out in non-existent agony, completely inappropriate at the moment. Distracted by the memory or what ever it was, Keller missed the boy reach behind himself and grasp her hand. The foreignness of his dirty nails made her cringe and she pulled back, not the pain. She'd experienced so much worse in her short twenty one years and she was beginning to think there was more that hovered just beyond her conscious memory. She grabbed her attacker's wrist and twisted, sending him sprawling to the ground and spat, "Walk away dog."

"I. Don't. Care. If. You. Are. Here. To. Hurt. Me. And don't ever call me that again." As he walked around confidently, Keller's narrowed eyes followed him until she could no longer see without turning and she got a face full of wet dog smell. She listened to what he said about David and she shut her eyes, the guilt constricting her chest. "He was looking for me that whole time?" She whispered. Not waiting for an answer, she did to him like she had the punching bag earlier and struck out behind her without looking and wrapped a slender hand around the werewolf's throat. Five rivulets of blood ran down from her nails on the back of his neck and she smiled— still with her eyes closed.
