Roslyn didn’t miss a beat. She understood the situation all too well, and found herself intertwining her fingers with the girls before marching over to the man hand in hand. Roslyn protectively stepped in front of the girl before leaving little room between her and the man. “Are you flirting with my fucking girlfriend?” She asked in harsh, more accusatory tone.
Leslie smiled politely at the stranger who was trying to hit on her before spotting and making eye contact with someone she knew across the room. “Help me,” Leslie mouthed.

“Yes, I’m alive. No, you probably shouldn’t be happy to see that. Let’s just move the fuck on and discuss why you’re here, yeah?”

“Eddie Rolkin: the weakest wolfie there ever was”, Roslyn announced the ‘headline’, teasing the boy as she took the left side of the dresser. “Ya have to admit there’s a certain ring to it”
“Are you gonna stand there with your mouth hanging open or are you gonna help me lift this?”

“No baby pictures, just mental images. Got it. You brought it here, though. You actually ready to sell or just hoping to be?” Roslyn raised a brow, all to used to people coming into the store then not being able to let go of their things.
“Yes, this is a box of things from my Uncle’s house - not that it’s any of your business - and, no, you cannot see my baby pictures. End of discussion.”

“Yell at you? --and you’re gonna let him?”
“ My brother. He’s about to wither say something weird or yell at me for not being home… “

“I respect that, a lot actually. Though I will have you know i far surpass ‘decent’ in the hookup department.”
“ What I expect from people in a general sense. I don’t know you well enough to expect anything; Not even a decent hookup. “

“Strangely enough there's also this thing called modesty--it’s new--and I’m fairly positive if you had any it would keep your abs out of my face.”
“There’s a thing called knocking.”

“Observant, are we?” Roslyn teased with a raised brow, “Most important question of the night--what is your drink of choice?”
Reese gave a smile and took the shot, downing it and still feeling that burn despite how often she did it. “Reese. We both have R names.”

“You’re going to have to be more specific. I’m not a mind reader.”

“Impressed? I exceeded expectations? That begs the question, then, of just what you expected from me, you know.”
“ I think you have valid points. Control is an illusion. But it’s used to help us feel less guilty. Then there’s the literal aspect of it. I’m impressed by you. “

“It is not a waste, it is a necessity if you want to sound even the slightest bit educated. The ‘disappearance’ is caused by neanderthals and quite frankly the resistance has to come to an end before I lose all hope in humanity.”
“Woah, things are getting heated. I’d like to remain a savage then, because why would I waste more time with an extra syllable. The disappearance of that -uh- has been in the works for a long time.”

Roslyn gave a breathy laugh, “No, no, believe it or not English Lit doesn’t come into play in an antique shop all that much.” Her voice was coated in fake surprise and sarcasm, knowing it wasn’t anything Tristan hadn’t seen and handled before. “Director.” she repeated, slightly slurring her words as she twirled the remaining liquid around the glass. She narrowed her eyes at the boy, though a smile stilled played on her lips. “What’d you do? Sell out your body? Because even I am above that Mister Breslow.” Her smile faded, though after that short break she was sure to force a laugh and play the reality of the situation off, “’Fraid so. And naturally, rather than saving and hoping for the best, I have chosen to drink the worries away.”
He was ready to give her a short response - I wasn’t leaving much behind. Moving wasn’t the hard part. However, when she quickly changed topics, he didn’t have a chance and was admittedly relieved. He wasn’t keen on having to give her the rundown on his ex-fiancé during a reunion after many, many years. “Your English Lit degree didn’t work out, I presume?” He asked. “I guess it worked out. I made it up to news director after all.” He took a small sip of his beer, pressing his lips together as he sipped. “So, rent’s coming up, huh?”

“That would be a demon, or a poltergeist--not any old ghost.”
