i hear that. i haven't had anything like what you went through, but i think just about any kind of surgery will leave you out of it for a while afterwards. at least you're getting time to rest up and recover now.

you know it, man. you ever get tackled by a brood of little ones? it's one of the best feelings in the world, hah. hey, i'm glad to hear it, matt. i don't know how you manage a school, doing indie work, and doing your thing with the wwe when you do—but it's pretty awesome to see everything working out. i'm happy for you.

thanks, matt! it was a great day so i appreciate the well wishes. it's been a while since we've talked, so how's everything going with you?

i surely didn't, but can't say i'm mad about it since you look good in them. you look good in everything but that's beside the point. i did see him say something about that, so it's too bad. maybe the weather will be better for it next time there's a show out there. they seem to like having you go there for media, so i wouldn't be surprised if you go along then too. i'll be glad to have you back home with me tomorrow tho. i've been missing you like crazy, babydoll. hah, i figured she would be pushing for it. as long as you're sure you're okay with it, then i don't mind.

i think i'm in my villain era right now still, but it would be fun to think about sometime for the future.

you sure did, babydoll. you came into my life and that was it—me and my hoodies were goners. that's good, but i'm sure you're right about it still feeling pretty toasty thanks to the humidity. at least you all have had a couple days to enjoy yourself and hopefully get used to it as best you can. tho it's been just as warm here, so being home wouldn't provide much of an escape from that. i can't say i have any problems with that idea, but i do have to ask—did she put you up to it? because i can see her asking you about it.

oh i know it, babydoll. never thought i'd fall for a thief yet here we are. and you know what? i wouldn't want it any other way. yeah, from what i remember about it that was always one of the toughest things about being out there—the heat. bad enough being in it at all, but made even worse when you had to wrestle in it. i know you don't need me to remind you, but make sure you stay hydrated. last thing i want is to hear about you passing out due to the heat. things are good here. the kids are ready for summer vacation, tho i think jo's already trying to find ways to escape her brothers. hah.

your sister wasn't looking to become an actual wrestler, was she? i think it's easier for those who aren't interested in the wrestling part of things. plus—i can see how a romance angle could be tough if you have an actual relationship. he's keeping things close to the vest but hopefully he shouldn't be out for too long.

i'm sure she'd love that, especially since summer break is about to start. i feel like having him as a weekly on-screen character could get a little tricky with his son working in nxt now too. people always look for the slightest reason to discredit someone—even more so when it comes to wrestling families—so maybe he wants to avoid that.

hah, we'd definitely be the real life version of it. i wouldn't mind it either, because i think it'd be fun to recreate it.

i swear moms are always going to be nervous about their kids getting into wrestling. or anything where they could get hurt really. i'd obviously support my kids if they decided they wanted to wrestle, but i'd be lying if i said i wasn't a little relieved that jojo's happy doing her own thing. i think regal prefers a more behind-the-scenes role these days. i know he said that was one thing he didn't like about aew—he didn't want to be an on-screen character, and that's exactly what they made him.

as long as you're here, i think it's safe to say your dad will be around in one way or another. it's hard to leave when you have family involved. that's probably what will happen once i do come back. we have to wait until jon's ready to come back first tho.
