Here is a Google image of the previous configuration of Venice Blvd. Note the bike lane between the parked cars and the 3rd lane for vehicles. We are advocating the the return of the third lane for cars and a reconfiguration of the street that works for everyone. We believe the #roaddiet implemented on May 20th, 2017 isn’t working and Venice Blvd. wasn’t an appropriate candidate for a lane reduction.

CORRECTION: We are NOT “dedicated to removing the bike lane.” There has always been a bike lane on Venice Blvd. We have local cyclists in our group. We are aware that there is currently a debate as to whether the current protected bike lane is safer versus the previous bike lane configuration. We encourage our local cyclists to come together and decide which configuration works best for them.
