Every “Why my disability didn’t stop me from living” article written can be summarized as having access to resources materially and socially.  Which results in a fascinating intersection between ableism and classism, as the resulting inspiration porn - used against disabled folk via the “Why are you more impacted than this person in the article” - essentially boils down to shaming people for not having access to the resources required to mitigate the disability.

Students at PolytechnicU were armed with bows and arrows and makeshift bombs and Western media hailed them as heroes as they fought the police. Peaceful protestors who were holding up blank white paper because some words were banned and who called out in support of their Uyghur brothers and sisters were arrested and Western media praised them for standing against a genocide. But suddenly when North American college student sit peacefully on campuses to protest a genocide, universities deliberately use intimidation tactics, send in a disproportionate amount of force, withhold vital human resources like food and water, and call them terrorists for sitting down. What the fuck
So when college students in Hong Kong are fighting for the right to free speech they're heroes and fighting for democracy and the government is cruel and oppressive for sending cops to shut them down but when North American students protest a genocide (PEACEFULLY, mind you) suddenly free speech is no longer allowed and they're "terrorists" and the government is "reasonable" for sending in overwhelming force. Make it make sense

the fact that there are white people going "omg they're just like us" about people in south, south east, south west asia and africa and south america like it's some huge revelation that we're all human is so fucking dismal to me. what do you mean you never considered the personhood of the people who don't look like you or don't have your culture? why do you think that you're unique in your suffering? why do you think you deserve praise for realizing that we're all human?

You've transmigrated and woken up in the world of Star Wars during the era of the Empire. Luke Skywalker has just blown up the Death Star. Vader is known to be leading a terrible hunt to crush the Rebel Alliance once and for all. You hold the memories that you are currently holding.
You're not Force-Sensitive - instead, you hold a strange, strange power.

Honestly so fucked up that when I was at the peak of my illness and lost seventeen pounds within three weeks, there was a small tiny terrible part of me that was pleased that I finally had a thigh gap. Now that I've recovered as much as possible and I'm going to the gym regularly I've lost said thigh gap and part of me hates it!! I have gained a healthy amount of weight and am completely within the normal range and yet despite knowing about how toxic these things are there's a dangerous part of me that wants to lose more weight. What the fuck
