just some life updates. in the past couple weeks i have....

finished the summer semester (w/ 4.0 B-) )

turned twenty, which is crazy bc i think i’ve been talking to y'all since i was what? thirteen?

got my wisdom teeth out (today lol)

future - will move into my dorm and start fall semester (that’s on friday actually)

buzz’s daily smoke circle

buzz is pretty much smoking weed at all times. even during camp activities he can usually sneak away for a toke. when you’re not one of camp’s greatest warriors, people don’t really seem to care that you skip training. most of the time he either goes into the woods, the strawberry fields, or to the big house to smoke with mr. d.

every day during free time at 5, he has a smoke circle in the strawberry fields. everyone is welcome. there’s naturally some hack-sack or frisbeeing going, and often a spontaneous jam sess. buzz prides it on being the chillest event at camp.

i imagine oscar’s a frequent attendee, lmk if any of y’all’s oc’s would come

The night was cold enough to warrant a bomber jacket, whichIsaac wore over his sweater. He leaned against Jack as they walked, armshooked. Jack was unbothered by the cold, wearing a t-shirt and jeans. As theywalked down the quiet street, which was irregularly lit by the few yellowstreetlights that weren’t broken, Isaac chattered on quietly. eQ3. do they answer questions that make them a little uncomfortable?

trick question, nothing makes jack uncomfortable. for real tho, if something made him feel uncomfortable, he would act like it didn't and just lie.

N1. what would they never do?

kill someone. jack’s been in some pretty nasty fights, but he’s never gotten that low.

N4. what is the most embarrassing thing they’ve done?

he’s really embarrassed about the whole situation with dash. he refuses to talk about it and when it eventually starts going around school, he gets hostile when people bring it up to him.

H1. do they rather a hot or cold room?

hot. emma likes to lay around in her underwear and not be bothered.

F4. can they have fun while conforming to rules?

eh, not really. for emma, 70% of the fun is breaking the rules. if she’s in a very strict environment, she’ll find some small way to rebel and enjoy herself.

D3. how do they decorate their own room?

it’s ridiculous. she lucked out and got her own room - jess and bailey had to share - and its covered floor to ceiling in stickers, posters of musicians and skateboarders, pictures, collages, etc. there’s one of those pink canopies over her bed. in the corner of her room is a fairly massive pile of teddy bears - she would steal one from the mall every time she and her siblings would go as kids until they were banned. at some point she and bailey spray-painted random stuff on the wall (which their mom was pissed about). there’s a vanity full of years of makeup that are mostly empty but not completely empty. very very pink.

Z1. what’s their favorite animal?

bunnies.

C1. how do they sit in a chair?

spread legs, forearms on thighs, hands folded. or otherwise, any strange position where one leg is over the arm. 

A4. what things are they bad at?

she's not very good at school - she doesn’t do well sitting still, having to listen to someone talk, and remember information without having a practical use for it. she’s not good at pretending she likes someone or pretending she’s having a good time. she’s not good at restraining her impulses. she’s terrible at drawing.

T1. are they honest?

she’s a really terrible liar, so for the most part yes. she has to be. she also believes she has nothing to be ashamed of so why would she lie?

P1. what is their best personality trait?

jess is smart, and they’re crafty. they see an opportunity to do something and can instantly think of a way to get it done. it’s what makes them something of a mastermind when it comes to schemes, and later on a great businessperson. this helps them be successful, but it’s not necessarily a great personality trait when it comes to getting along with other people. socially, their best trait is just their easygoing charm - they just kind of have a vibe that makes them cool. you know?

P5. do they hate anything about their personality/about other’s personalities?

they wish that they were more easily social - they’re pretty anxious socially if they’re being honest, as chill as they usually seem to others. they think they put their foot in their mouth all the time, even if it’s not reality. as for other people, they hate when people make a big deal out of something that’s not. it just really gets on their nerves.

S4. has anything happened to them on the streets?

a couple of muggers have noticed the glasses and cane and tried to pickpocket paxton, but they end up flipped into the sidewalk every time without fail. if you’re gonna pickpocket a blind guy, choosing one that’s 6′5″ and jacked is not the best idea.

Y3. were they different when they were first created?

not really. the initial idea was ex-high school quarterback who goes blind and gets other powers. i haven't begun to completely warp him yet.

E2. do they do things that conform to the norm?

michael doesn’t care what people think of him, but he’s also usually trying to be somewhat inconspicuous. so, yes and no. he does things that mortals would think too dangerous - he’s already died so he doesn’t really have anything to lose. plus, he semi-regularly raises the dead, so that too. 

E5. do they portray their personality intentionally or let people figure it out on their own?

michael’s a much nicer person than he lets on. he’s learned to keep his instinct towards empathy at bay, so he lets on like this stone cold tough guy.

F3. who would they have the most fun with?

he has a lot of fun with jj, since jj’s also pretty into the motorcycle thing. he also feels comfortable letting his guard down around zara, and can be closer to what one would call fun.

G4. what parts of them do they like and dislike?

before he died michael was ashamed of his body - he hid it and despised it. his body changed after receiving the blood of heracles from hades, and now he has pride in it. he knows he’s handsome. he takes very good care of his skin and hair (michael loves his hair)- his morning routine is pretty lengthy. he can get very grumpy when he has a bad hair day or he gets the random afterlife zit. he also very much dislikes his “down there” - heracles’s blood didn’t change everything.

I5. how long would/did it take for them to come out?

he never came out to his family. he leaves his family after possibly beating his father to death and from then on lives his life strictly as michael. he dies without telling another soul about his history, hades already knows about him when he arrives. the only people he’s come out to are zara - in the underworld when he would tell her stories about his life - and jj - a while into their friendship when michael felt completely trusting of jj.

N2. what have they never done that they want to do?

he’s done many, many things in his life and death, i think the one thing he actually yearns to do is grow up into a normal man and have a family. 

U5. have they surprised people with being good at something?

when he started boxing at age 12, he definitely seemed like the underdog. he was smaller and skinnier than the other boys, but he learned quickly and started winning matches quick. not only that, but he hit a growth spurt that made him hit five ten before he turned fourteen, much taller than the boys in his age group. he was soon a favorite in the ring.
