Played my first 2 games of Pandemic. Both were noob difficulty.  1st team was Medic and Dispatcher and they eradicated 2, cured 1 and were literally 1 blue card away from victory...sadly there were no cards left in the player deck and we had victory ripped from us by the jaws of defeat.      How ever I added another epidemic card and another team member,  Researcher, Scientist and Medic were able to bring the world back from the brink and cure 3 and eradicate 1 disease.

Dead of Winter by Plaid Hat Games. It’s a Co-operative Survival game with a defector, and triggered narrative elements (the Crossroads system) that also happens to have zombies in it, rather than just another zombie game. I love the art style in the game. It was so much a factor in my purchase that I told the artist on her DeviantArt that she should get commission on sales of the game. My favorite component in the box is not listed among the others, it’s a high quality zip-top baggie full of other high quality zip-top baggies, because the designers are also gamers and know that you need some way to keep all your tokens from getting mixed up. It’s such a small but thoughtful gesture by the designers and publishers that it really impressed me.
