Got to say, I really like how Magnus Protocol is changing the formula and allowing the characters to interact and have banter and stuff and just the general more focus they have compared to Magnus Archive (Espiecally early seasons)

While the content within the actual chapter is really great and cool (God I love the Nail fiend? And Katana Man being back is cool even if I never expected it) I have to say oh god what happening next chapter considering it a two week break, I am scared for both Denji and Asa safety especially Asa currently, Granted I am very hopeful it will be a Reze returning maybe her meeting Denji again and if that not next chapter, I can't wait for that to happen considering it very clear it just a matter of time for Reze return

I have been putting some thought into how the Day of Worship with the Hybrids may end up going, and I think it may not go the way most people expect.

Denji has spent this entire arc being put down, belittled and forced into a corner with his arms tied behind his back and unable to fight back at all. He has been forced to make binary options with him taking the one that is the safest for Nayuta, but despite that he is still clearly miserable because he is not allowed to live his life the way he wants to. I think most people are expecting that when the Hybrids attack that Denji will be forced to transform, that he'll end up fighting them back and in the process regain his identity as Chainsaw Man, subverting everyone who sought to exploit him for their own gain.

But I don't think that is going to happen.

For a while now, I have been under the impression that Asa's absence wasn't merely a result of the story putting focus on Denji, but that her return would mark something big for either her or the story.

I don't think it will be Denji that saves the day, I think it will be Asa. She'll be the one who takes the field, who stops the Hybrids and saves the day. She'll be the one who will bask in the glory and praise she so desperately desires, thinking that she's done good things for Chainsaw Man, only in truth to be another person that has taken away from his identity and sense of self.

On Reddit, someone made a comment about how the Chainsaw Man buns Denji and Nayuta were looking at at the start of the chapter were on sale because no one was buying them, and I made a joke that they'll soon be selling buns with Asa's face on them. It was a joke at the time, but the more I think about it, the more that might actually be true.

I feel like the story is trying raise Asa on a pedestal, to shower her with fame and glory, to ultimately replace Chainsaw Man in the public's eye, all while Denji is quietly shoved into a corner, stripped of everything that made him, who he was.

So with these two panels (along the entire converstation) it seems to confirmed or at the very least implie that these are the hybrids which are currently apart of the chainsaw church, So that makes The Sword Hybrid, The flamethrower Hybrid, The Whip Hybrid and The Spear Hybrid (maybe since we never his face but due to the matching hair I believe he is) are working apart of the chainsaw church
