The President looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family," the official said. Biden took a tumble when he was finishing a bike ride alongside first lady Jill Biden. The President deviated from the group as he biked over to a crowd that had gathered nearby. Biden came to a stop and appeared to get his foot caught on the pedal while trying to dismount. "I got my foot caught" on the toe cage, Biden told reporters traveling with him later. "I'm good." US Secret Service agents quickly helped the President up after his fall. Josh Emmett edges past Calvin Kattar, demands shot at UFC featherweight title
Josh Emmett's case for a UFC featherweight title shot got a lot stronger on Saturday, as he picked up a split decision over Calvin Kattar in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Austin, Texas.
Emmett (18-2) attacked Kattar (23-6) with winging right hands and body shots over the course of a back-and-forth five-round fight. All three judges' scorecards were close. Two officials awarded the 145-pound fight 48-47 to Emmett, who went in as the betting underdog. A third saw it 48-47 for Kattar.
Although the fight was undoubtedly close, producing a wide range of fan scores on social media, Emmett said he was confident about the result. Current champion Alexander Volkanovski is scheduled to defend his belt against Max Holloway at UFC 276 on July 2 in Las Vegas, and Emmett demanded a chance to face the winner.
"I thought I had it four [rounds] to one," Emmett said. "I believe [a title shot should be next]. Calvin Kattar was ranked No. 4. Look at the guys he has fought. Holloway and Volkanovski are arguably some of the best featherweights of all time, but they need some new blood and I can get it done."
Saturday's contest basically played out like a boxing match, as neither featherweight looked to utilize leg kicks or takedowns. Kattar's best weapon was his jab, which he consistently landed throughout the fight. He opened a cut over Emmett's left eye with the jab early, and opened it further with an elbow in the fourth round.
Emmett, of Sacramento, did his best work at short range. He effectively went to Kattar's body during the middle rounds and forced him backward at times with the overhand right. Even when Kattar blocked the shots, they had visible weight behind them.
In the fifth, Emmett pick and chose his spots and blitzed Kattar with combinations, while Kattar tried to keep things at a distance to land his jab.
Emmett has won five in a row. Only Volkanovski (9), Arnold Allen (9) and Bryce Mitchell (6) have longer active win streaks in the division.

Former WWE Producer Recalls Inviting Sycho Sid Onto WWE Podcast
Sycho Sid has been the subject of many interesting wrestling stories and you can add another one into the rotation. Former WWE producer Dan Ryckert played a key role in the podcast department of the company, and he recalls the one time he was tasked with contacting Sid to be a special guest on an episode of “After The Bell” with Corey Graves.
“I called Sid once while he was doing landscaping stuff,” Ryckert said on his Twitch stream. “He was yelling at someone about installing a fence. He said he had a landscaping business, and Sid said he needed a bunch of money to be on the Corey Graves show, and also, he asked me if I’d be his podcast producer and I said no. That’s my Sid story.”
“Bunch of money” be damned, Sid is no stranger to being interviewed or delivering interviews. Back in 2019, the “Ruler of The World” talked with “Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast” and touched upon doing promos in both the scripted and unscripted form.

Phil Mickelson cards 3-over 73 Friday but misses U.S. Open cut at 11 over
BROOKLINE, Mass. -- The good news for Phil Mickelson, after he limped off the ninth green at The Country Club outside Boston on Friday, is that he won't have to worry about making the cut in his next start in two weeks.
Mickelson didn't do that at the 122nd U.S. Open, although he did play better in Friday's second round. He carded a 3-over 73, dropping his total for 36 holes to 11 over. He was tied for 143rd among 156 players when he walked off the course.
"I enjoyed the week. I just wished I'd played better," Mickelson said afterward before jumping into a courtesy SUV with his team and leaving the club.

U.S. Open 2022: Tournament news, tee times, schedule and analysis 1d Other prominent names that missed the cut of 3-over 143 include Sergio Garcia, Billy Horschel, Webb Simpson, Shane Lowry, Daniel Berger, Tony Finau, Kevin Na, and Harold Varner III.
Mickelson, a six-time major champion, was making his first start in the United States since late January. He is among 17 players who have been indefinitely suspended by PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan for playing in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series event in London last week without a conflicting-event release.
Mickelson, 52, plans to play in the first LIV Golf event in the U.S., scheduled for June 30 to July 2 at Pumpkin Ridge in Portland, Oregon. The LIV tournaments include no cuts, shotgun starts and $25 million purses.
Mickelson's total of 11 over through 36 holes tied for fifth worst in a major championship during his career. He was 13 over after 36 holes at the 2020 U.S. Open at Winged Foot and the 1999 Open Championship at Carnoustie, and 12 over at the Open Championship in 1994 and 2021.
After a bogey on the fourth hole dropped him to 12 over, Mickelson posted birdies on the par-4 fifth and par-3 sixth hole to get back to 10 over.
After struggling to an 8-over 78 in the opening round, Mickelson got off to a better start on Friday. Starting on the back nine, he had three straight pars before carding bogeys on the next three. He had a 3-putt bogey on the par-4 13th.
On the next hole, a 616-yard, par-5 monster, Mickelson lashed at his ball with a 3-wood on the fairway. He immediately raised his left arm and yelled, "Way left!" He hit his third shot into a greenside bunker and 3-putted for another bogey.
"It was spectacular to come back to such a historic course, and I thought the setup was remarkable and just really showcased what a special place this was," Mickelson said.
Overall, Mickelson received a warm reception from spectators.
"The fans here have always been terrific, and they really support all sports," Mickelson said. "I love it when we bring golf here because they really create a special atmosphere."

'Drake trolling,' NBA stars react to Drake's seventh studio album, 'Honestly, Nevermind'
NBA Twitter moves fast. One minute you're watching the Golden State Warriors claim their fourth NBA title in eight seasons and the next you need shades to deflect all the Drake hate.
On Thursday, Drake released his seventh studio album, titled "Honestly, Nevermind." Typically, the Toronto-based rapper's album releases are cause for celebration on the internet. But on this occasion, the reception vibes were much more "Boston fans after the Celtics lost Game 6" than "Stephen Curry celebrating in the Warriors' locker room." See how we tied that back to the Finals?
Curry named Finals MVP for 1st time in career 2hOhm Youngmisuk Drake -- who is a fixture in the NBA community and has made a habit of name-dropping players in the Association -- had Bradley Beal, Donovan Mitchell and more questioning everything.
It feels wrong to slander the man who gave us the lyric "I been Steph Curry with the shot. Been cookin' with the sauce, chef, curry with the pot" on the night Curry won his first Finals MVP award, but alas the internet is a cold, cold place.

World Cup 2026 host cities revealed, with 11 venues in U.S., 3 in Mexico and 2 in Canada
FIFA announced on Wednesday the 16 North American cities that will host matches for the 2026 World Cup, with 11 venues chosen in the United States, three in Mexico and two in Canada.
The 2026 World Cup will be the first tournament hosted by three nations and also the first that will expand to 48 teams in the competition.
World Cup 2026: What you need to know about the 16 venues
Don't have ESPN? Get instant access
The cities officially selected to host World Cup matches in the U.S. are: New York/New Jersey (MetLife Stadium); Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium); Dallas (AT&T Stadium); San Francisco Bay Area (Levi's Stadium); Miami (Hard Rock Stadium); Atlanta (Mercedes-Benz Stadium); Seattle (Lumen Field); Houston (NRG Stadium); Philadelphia (Lincoln Financial Field); Kansas City, Missouri (Arrowhead Stadium); and Boston (Gillette Stadium).
The host of the 1994 World Cup final, the Rose Bowl, was not chosen, with another Los Angeles area venue, SoFi Stadium, being picked instead.
"It was the most competitive process ever for the FIFA World Cup," FIFA president Gianni Infantino told Fox Sports about the selection process. "We will be working in clusters, making sure that the teams and the fans don't have to travel too much in different areas: West, Central and East."
The cities officially selected to host World Cup matches in Mexico and Canada are: Guadalajara (Estadio Akron), Monterrey (Estadio BBVA Bancomer), Mexico City (Estadio Azteca), Toronto (BMO Field) and Vancouver (BC Place).
"It's a historic day for U.S. Soccer and the entire American soccer community, from every corner of our grassroots all the way to the pros and our National Teams," U.S. Soccer President Cindy Parlow Cone said in a statement. "Together with our good friends in Canada and Mexico, we couldn't be more excited to work with FIFA to host what we think will be the greatest World Cup in history.
"I want to congratulate all the bid cities that will host games. I know you will all do a fantastic job of sharing your world class stadiums, unique communities and culture, and amazing fans when the world comes to the North America in four years."
The following candidates missed out on selection: Baltimore/Washington (M&T Bank Stadium); Orlando, Florida (Camping World Stadium); Cincinnati (Paul Brown Stadium); Nashville, Tennessee (Nissan Stadium); Denver (Empower Field at Mile High); and Edmonton (Commonwealth Stadium).
"It's been an incredibly competitive process. All the cities have been amazing, this was a very, very difficult choice," FIFA's Chief Competitions & Events Officer, Colin Smith, said.
"You can't imagine a World Cup coming to the U.S. and the capitol city not taking a major role, as well. We'll be engaging with all of the cities that weren't chosen to host matches. There are still lots of other areas of cooperation and working together and celebration. We know what a fan fest on the National Mall would be like."
From the original "United 2026" bid from the three nations, 60 games are set to be played in the United States, while Mexico and Canada will each get 10 matches. Once the tournament reaches the quarterfinal stage, all remaining knockout round games will be held in the U.S.

Adam Hadwin fires 66 to take first-round lead at U.S. Open
BROOKLINE, Mass. -- Adam Hadwin can be excused for the opening round of the U.S. Open -- the so-called toughest test in golf -- giving him a chance to exhale.
Hadwin was home in Canada last week for his own national open, an even bigger deal because the pandemic had canceled the Canadian Open the previous two years and the golf-obsessed fans brought enormous energy.
Plus, he has been immune from the endless chatter and speculation of the Saudi-backed rival league that consumed attention all week at The Country Club.
2022 U.S. Open: Adam Hadwin in the lead, Rory McIlroy throws a club and more from Round 1 6hESPN.com Small wonder he walked off Thursday with a 4-under 66 for his best score in 63 rounds at major championships and a 1-shot lead over Rory McIlroy and four others at 67: Callum Tarren of England, David Lingmerth of Sweden, MJ Daffue of South Africa and Joel Dahmen.
"Nice to get down here and a couple of days' rest and get going for this week," Hadwin said. "Not that the golf course gets any easier. But yeah, in certain instances it definitely felt a little more relaxed than last week."
At the opposite end was Phil Mickelson, who celebrated his 52nd birthday -- on the golf course, anyway -- with a four-putt double bogey on his way to a 78.
Hadwin ran off three straight birdies to finish the front nine in 31, and he dropped only 1 shot on the back nine for his 66. His previous low score in a major was 68 on three occasions, most recently the first round of the 2020 PGA Championship at Harding Park.
Even with a good start, it doesn't figure to be easy for Hadwin or anyone else. The Country Club might have been as accommodating as it gets all week, with moderate wind and cloud cover keeping the sun from making greens crispy and firm.
And the best anyone could do was a 66.
The group at 68 included two-time major winner Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose and Matt Fitzpatrick, who won the U.S. Amateur at Brookline in 2013.
No other major is more open -- roughly half the 156-man field has to qualify -- and it showed. Seven of the top 13 came through qualifiers, including Hadwin. He was first alternate out of the Dallas section and got in when Paul Casey withdrew because of an ailing back.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Stanley Cup 2022: Avalanche survive in OT against Lightning and more scenes from Game 1
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Colorado Avalanche met Wednesday night for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final and it was a thrilling affair, with the Avalanche winning 4-3 in overtime.
EDITOR'S PICKS
The 10 most pivotal players in the Stanley Cup Final 4dKristen Shilton
The Ultimate Stanley Cup 120d The Lightning have their sights set on a three-peat, which would be the first time a team has won three consecutive NHL championships since the New York Islanders won four straight from 1980 to '83. Tampa Bay showed resolve in the Eastern Conference finals, rebounding from a 0-2 hole against the New York Rangers to win the series in six games. The Lightning had to show more perseverance in Game 1 as they faced a 3-1 deficit after the first period.
Despite Colorado's fast start, Tampa Bay found its groove as the game progressed. It tied the game in the second by scoring two goals in 48 seconds. The third period went by without any goals, but shortly into overtime Andre Burakovsky scored the game-winner for the Avalanche. It's the first career playoff overtime goal for Burakovsky, and very good news for Colorado: Game 1 overtime winners are 14-4 in Stanley Cup history.
Ball Arena was electrifying all night thanks to the fans' raucous energy. From stars in the stands to the fast-paced action, spectators had a lot to take in as the Stanley Cup got underway.
Here are some of the best sights and sounds from Game 1.

Here Are Today’s Mortgage Rates, June 16, 2022 | Rates Fall Slightly After the Federal Reserve’s Hike
The pandemic initially drove rates down when it caused economic activity to drop. As a result of the pandemic, disruptions to the global supply chain caused shortages, which increased inflation and interest rates.
We may soon find ourselves in the reverse situation, where factors contributing to inflation could slow economic growth. Sagging economies tend to be accompanied by lower mortgage rates.
However, this forecast is far from certain and right now it appears that rates may move around from week to week, but aren’t expected to drop. The impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the Chinese COVID lockdown on supply chains will likely lead to higher inflation.
As long as inflation lingers, the chances of returning to the glory days of low mortgage rates stay slim. “Until inflation is under control, the risk is certainly that rates move higher,” Danielle Hale, chief economist at Realtor.com told NextAdvisor.

As K-pop behemoth BTS hits pause, its fandom reels
SEOUL — She eked out a muffled, squeaking sob as a single tear ran down her cheek. “Yes i heard the news” was the caption and the only context for the video Erika Titus posted Tuesday on TikTok.
She was, of course, reacting to the news that the massively successful K-pop group BTS was taking a break for an indefinite period. Titus was not alone in her despair: Her video had more than half a million likes, with her followers sharing in the comments how they were coping with the announcement. One fan wrote: “i found out at work and literally had to leave early,” followed by three crying emoji.

Republican Mayra Flores flips House seat in Texas special election
WASHINGTON — Republicans picked up a seat in the House on Tuesday with the projected win of Mayra Flores in the Texas special election to fill a seat previously held by a Democrat.
Flores defeated Democrat Dan Sanchez to represent the state’s 34th Congressional District by about 51 to 43% of the vote, with 97% of the expected vote in, NBC News projects.
The Republican fills the seat held by Democratic Rep. Filemon Vela, the previous vice chair of the Democratic National Committee, who resigned in late March to take a job with the law and lobbying firm Akin Gump.
Flores, who has worked as a health care worker and touted her husband’s job as a border patrol agent in campaign ads, was the leading candidate in polls ahead of the election. Sanchez, who works as an attorney, trailed Flores in fundraising and barely aired any ads.

U.S. 'ACTIVELY NEGOTIATING' WITH RUSSIA ... For Brittney Griner
Congressman Colin Allred tells TMZ Sports the U.S. is calling Brittney Griner "basically a political prisoner" now in Russia … and says because of it, government officials have formally begun negotiations with the foreign country to bring the WNBA superstar home.
We spoke with the representative out on Capitol Hill on Tuesday afternoon -- just hours after it was announced that Griner's detention in Russia would be extended until at least July 2 -- and he confirmed to us they've officially entered into talks with Russian leaders to try to get Griner back on U.S. soil.
"We're actively negotiating to get her out," Allred said. "Basically, we've acknowledged and we understand now that she is being held as basically a political prisoner."
Russian State Tv "In some ways, that’s helpful," Allred continued, "because now we can just have a discussion on, 'What is it going to take for you to allow us to bring her back home?'"
It appears it'll be an uphill battle to make the negotiations work, however … according to Russian state media outlet TASS, a Russian diplomat said on Tuesday the country will not consider a detainee swap for Griner until her case wraps in the court system.
It's unclear when that date might be -- she's been in custody since mid-February as her case continues to plod on -- but Allred told us they're still doing everything they can to make it sooner rather than later.

Kim Kardashian accused of doing ‘permanent damage’ to Marilyn Monroe’s dress
A Marilyn Monroe collector has claimed that “permanent damage” has been inflicted by Kim Kardashian on the iconic dress Monroe wore to serenade John F Kennedy on his 45th birthday, shortly before the actor’s death.
Kardashian wore the gown to the Met Gala last month; photographs taken in the last week by Scott Fortner, a collector who works to authenticate and verify Monroe memorabilia, appeared to show stretched and buckled fabric and missing crystals on the back of the dress.
In the photos, posted to Instagram on Monday, rips, stretches and substantial wear and tear can be see on the dress, which also does seem to be missing some crystals with others “left hanging by a thread”.
The post quotes the dress’s owner, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!, who at the time claimed “great care was taken to preserve this piece of pop culture history. With input from garment conservationists, appraisers, and archivists, the garment’s condition was top priority … no alterations were to be made to the dress and Kim even changed into a replica after the red carpet!”
Advertisement Kardashian donned the $4.8m crystal-covered nude silk gown to walk down the red carpet at the event in early May. She accessorised the garment with a white fur stole as she was unable to do the zipper up at the back.
During a fitting more than a month before the gala, Kardashian realised her assumption that the gown would slip on was optimistic. “When it didn’t fit me I wanted to cry because it can’t be altered at all,” she said.
She then undertook an extreme weight-loss regime to try and squeeze into the dress, which involved a vegetable-centric diet, lots of time on the treadmill and wearing a sauna suit twice a day. “It was such a challenge,” she said. “It was like a role, I was determined to fit it.”
Kardashian’s programme met with criticism from healthcare professionals, while her apparently insatiable desire to wear a dead woman’s dress also went down badly.
The International Council of Museums commented that “historic garments should not be worn by anybody, public or private figures”. While the dress was the property of a private collector its heritage, they continued, “must be understood as belonging to humanity” and the artefact “kept preserved for future generations”.
The dress has been kept in a temperature-controlled environment since the tourist attraction bought it in 2016. It had not been worn by
