Why Temptation? well this just takes place with Goku (obvs) being tormented by his guilty thoughts of Vegeta and so this built up an entity that differs from the current one he meets up everyday, the silly Impgeta🎉

Sparring with the current one will be his main struggle as of now

OP I’m really sorry. Below the cut is a few hundred words about this happening to Vegeta IV from Dragon Ball and also some other stuff.

The sound of an explosion, the sound of a body hitting the ground, the sound of a scream, the sound of an exasperated sigh.

“You weren’t aiming, Vegeta. Tell me you didn’t have your eyes closed.”

He didn’t, and of course he sees that he’s the only one who landed any attacks on the stationary target. His squadmates try to conceal their laughter, but it’s not for his sake. “I thought…” Vegeta starts. He feels his body tense, feels frustration building in his throat. He tries to correct and appear unfazed. Everyone is looking at him. “I didn’t think I’d have to…”

Freeza scowls, and his shadow inches closer to Vegeta, who feels infinitesimally small as he turns to face its source. Its slow movement pushes him back towards his victim, who convulses and screams again when he hits him by accident with his heel.

“Making excuses… You shoot to kill,” Freeza hisses. “You’d know this by now, surely…”

“I didn’t think I’d be the only one who…”

“Aren’t you going to put the poor bastard out of his misery? Such cruelty, letting him suffer like this.” Vegeta turns immediately and aims his palm, but Freeza puts a bit of pressure on his shoulder with the end of his tail to stop him. “You wasted your chance to shoot him.”

“Wasted my…”

“Destroy him anyway.”

Without hesitating, Vegeta does exactly this. He tears him into pieces with his hands, gripping and pulling the last precious bits of sinew keeping the man’s right thigh attached at the hip so forcefully that he unravels a bit. The lingering whispers around him, the whimpering of the soon-to-be corpse, everything fades away until there is only silence. “There,” he spits once he’s finished the task, nudging the mutilated remains with his bloodsoaked boot.

“Very good. Do you remember his name?”

“…No.”

He honestly didn’t. The disembodied limbs at his feet belonged to some useless superior of his. It was funny to watch him as he was stripped of his rank.

“How disappointing…” Freeza sighs. “Hm. Did you have any fun, at least?”

Vegeta nods. It was fun to kill him. He only really knew him as one of many tormentors, and he felt pleased with how nicely things had worked out in his favor. “I did aim. I aimed for his leg. I thought… that it wouldn’t matter if I killed him. Someone else would.”

“Now you know better.”

“…Right.”

“It’s simple enough for you to understand. Ready, aim…”

The crowd around the scene moves to attack this time, and Vegeta turns to face them. His scouter warns him about the energy he can already feel. He sort of hates himself for freezing in place, but he’s glad he doesn’t flinch. He feels like he’s getting fucked with, anyway, and his expression is relaxed. It visibly unsettles the squadron somewhat.

“Oh, knock it off, the lot of you,” Freeza says, moving to shield the young man. “You’ve frightened him.”

“I’m not frightened, Lord Freeza.“

“Well, how do you feel?”

“Like these idiots should be dead, too. Did you tell them to hold their fire the first time? They’re afraid of me, over there. Seventeen to one and they’re afraid of me.”

“You’re absolutely right,” Freeza says, suddenly beaming. “What a pitiful bunch! Shouldn’t you kill the lot of them, Prince Vegeta? You’ve already disposed of their commander.”

“Do I have to?”

“Do you want to?”
