For this look my mom was my model again, because I'm trying to practice more on people than on myself. Also, covering eyebrows is very hard but I think I got it at a level that is not bad to look at haha.

Beauty standards of Ancient Chinese had been changing throughout different dynasties. However, there were standards that had become ideals for ancient Chinese women to follow, such as eyebrows with the shape of silkworms, eyes that are similar to phoenix’s and cherry-shaped lips. Chinese in the past preferred long and narrow eyes, a woman’s characters were considered to have connections with the shape of her eyes. Along with narrow eyes, ancient Chinese were obsessed with the beauty of slim eyebrows. Red is considered to represent both luck and eroticism. Therefore it is easy to understand why red lips and cheeks became the standards for beauty. White skin often invokes a sense of cleanliness and purity. It also conveys symbolic meanings which are protective shelter and high social standing, which show that the owner of the white skin does not involve in physical labor and does not leave the house at all. Ancient Chinese beauty standards were not always straight-lined eyebrows and slender body, the standards were changing throughout different time periods and depending on the perspectives of beauty of each dynasty.

~In this video I showcase my skills of makeup, while celebrating women and their strengths!~
THE CRYING GIRL
This look is inspired by all the tears that a girl has shed (all those tears become lessons). For this look, I was inspired by the some of the century trends, especially the 1960′s and the fashion forward lesson help me to get out of my comfort zone and experiment with a different style.
THE BLACK SWAN
This look is inspired by a women’s determination and the level of sophistication that they put on everything that they do. From the course, I learned so much about contouring and that help me too create a very strong cheek for this strong look.
THE KAHLO
This makeup look is inspired by the creativity of  women, and who is one of the most creative and strong woman on history?, Frida Kahlo. So, this one is a little bit of transformation, I wanted to channel Frida on me and I think I did it. The alien lessons, encouraged me to contour with different colours.
THE REBEL
This look is inspired by the bravery and courage that women have. This one was the funnest to create, because I let myself to be imperfect and messy and I think the zombie lesson help to forget or let behind the “perfection” of makeup.
LA CHOLA
This one is another transformation, this time into a Chola. Chola culture originated in Southern California, a subculture that rejected the extremely white, patriotic fashion trends of the time (1980s-1990s). The chola represents strong, independent women battling sexism and fighting to establish their independence. The chola represents a part of Latina history when women had to establish their strength and perseverance in order to survive.
Thanks to this course I was able to apply makeup much more professionally, how to be more creative, and explore a variety of different styles.
