Byleth walks over to the prince, eyes blank. As he crouches down next to Dimitri, Byleth gently touches at his bangs, brushing them away from his face. The prince finally looks at Byleth.

Honestly, Byleth was afraid of what he would find in the prince’s face. 

I absolutely had to draw it. I’ve been re-reading godspeed by quags1re lately, which may be my faaaaaaaavourite Fe3h fanfiction ever and I just. I want to draw so many things for it but my hand is slower than my brain.  So I settled for a hug and left it as unspoilery as I could, because the reason why Dimitri is like that destroys my soul to this day. Genuinely highest of recommends, especially if you’re drawn to angst/time travel fix it/dimileth You Will Yell At This.

DGC questions

Does anybody remember how does exactly Balthazar look like? I remember him having a black hair and a beard, but maybe I am misremembering? How old is he? Maybe in his fourties? His game portrayal certainly is not of much help :D

Hexagonal shapes

Death Gate Cycle has been my obsession for many years now. One of my hobbies is looking for things around me that remind me of those books.

I often notice things that have hexagonal motives, because they remind me of Sartan runes <3.

Reblogging this for future reference. It’s an AWESOME idea and I want to marry you for proposing it!!! I feel the need to do something about it...

Some mental notes for future:

1. Sartan that ABSOLUTELY have to play this game are Ramu (need to make it work somehow!), Balthazar and maybe Vasu?

2. Patryns know that they are better at this game so they want to exploit it as much as possible.

3. Side slightly NSFW hillarious idea: Patryns want to turn it into some kind of equivalent of strip poker, especially because the Sartan don’t wear as many clothes as they ^.^

Concept: Post-series, a few of the Abarrach Sartan are sitting around playing a casual game of rune-bone and a Patryn notices and stops to watch. The Sartan, embarrassed at having forgotten that they’re literally playing a game with Patryn runes, are worried that he’s offended.

But instead he’s fascinated and asks them to teach him how to play. He picks up the game quickly and soon teaches it to other Patryns, who absolutely LOVE the game because it gives them an unfair advantage over the Sartan (since they actually know what the runes mean).

Soon there’s a bunch of Patryns going around the Nexus challenging any Sartan who’s interested to a game, including some of the Chelestra Sartan (who are at even more of a disadvantage than the Abarrach Sartan because the game is new to them).

Vasu and Alfred start receiving requests from Sartan for help in learning the correct positioning of the runes so they can stop losing. Alfred tries to protest that he doesn’t actually know Patryn runes well enough to help them with this, but no one believes him because he lives with two Patryns.
