Hi this is a great question! We love books and we love russian literatureUnfortunately we’re old maids and we’re not very familiar with modern writers

I can recommend Борис Акунин. Basically any book at all! They are all great, he does historical detectives, very interesting, very easy to read.

I know that everybody is reading Виктор Пелевин. He’s probably like russian Palahniuk, he even has a book called Snuff. But i have never read (and never will read) any of his books. I mean… 

There’s also that series called Метро 2033 (2035 230304 and what not). Haven’t read it either but supposed to be interesting!

Oh, there’s also Макс Фрай (yeah yeah like Steven but not). It’s a pen name of two authors and at first nobody knew who that Max Fry person was which was kinda cool. It’s a series about a man who ends up in a magical world and all sorts of weird and wonderful things happen there.

But generally (I will sound like babushka here but) read classics, guys!
