Something I really like about Dungeon Meshi is the way it handles pacing. We are given a ticking time clock of a goal but the show insists and equally about all the small quiet slow moments in that journey. And like it's not like we don't see that deeply personal pressure in the characters. But they in addition to the audience are constantly pushed into taken their time, resting, and well eating. In a way its really soothing for our anxiety. Yes there is this horrible thing that we have to take care of but we won't be able to solve it if we don't take care of ourselves, if we don't allow ourselves a moment to breathe.
