Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile
EVA’S REVIEW
Wow. This movie was crazy! It really showed me inside the life of a rapist/murderer. This movie is about the Ted Bundy case and how it all went down. I thought it was interesting how the movie was not showing that he actually murdered people until the end because it kind of put you in the perspective of someone that was alive while all this was happening. It kind of made you think of your own opinions on if you thought he was guilty or innocent, even though we all know now that he was 100% guilty.
Although the movie was fantastic, it took me a while to get used to the way they jumped back and forth with time and scenes. So I personally didn’t like the formatting of it very well but it was still really good. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is ready for very adult and disturbing scenes. So I would say 16 and above would be a good age. If you are really uncomfortable with rape, definitely don’t watch this movie. I really do believe it is important for people to see these things to understand the bad that happens in the world. It may be disturbing, but it’s worth it.

Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile
ROBERT’S REVIEW
Typically, a movie about a serial killer would be defined as any of the words in the title, but I was nothing short of fascinated by this biography about the famous serial killer, Ted Bundy. The same story is so different in everybody’s mind. The woman who loved him spends years trying to prove his innocence. The woman he used to love is so conflicted with her emotions and the evidence. The man he tries to be in front of everybody else is a loving, generous person who wouldn’t hurt a fly. And of course, the man who would rape his victims, kill them, and then rape them again, is the same man who appears to be a loving human. So much time and effort went in to finding Bundy and keeping him in prison. Even though the evidence was convincing, none of it was enough to define his fate. Finally, when sent to the electric chair, he admitted to the murders of 30 women, but it’s believed to be significantly more. His final wish was to have his ashes spread in the very same place he scattered the remains of his victims.
This biography is beyond terrifying. Even without the blood and gore, the image it leaves in the mind is scarring. Its R rating is definitely appropriate because I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody under the age of 17. If you were to be looking to this movie for information about Ted Bundy, then it may be hard to understand most of it. It helps the viewing experience if the viewer has prior knowledge of the character, and is able to make connections that otherwise would go overlooked.

Ocean’s Eleven
EVA’S REVIEW
Complex, crazy, action packed. These are only a few words that describe Ocean’s Eleven. This movie is about a smooth criminal, Daniel Ocean, who has just gotten out of jail and plans to rob the biggest casino buissness in Las Vegas. He makes a team of eleven and goes on the craziest adventure of his life. The owner of the casinos, Terry Benedict, is also Ocean’s ex-wife’s new boyfriend. So, part of the reason he goes there in the first place is to get her back.
This movie was fantastic! It was written very well and the ending shocked me. Even though it was all fictional, the heist in the movie was planned out so well that it almost felt like it was based on a true story. This movie was interesting and very intruiging. I would reccomend this movie for anyone and everyone ages 13 and up. It’s worth it.

Ocean’s Eleven
ROBERT”S REVIEW
Thief, liar, villain, and intelligent are all the best characteristics of our main character, Daniel Ocean. After being released from years in jail, his first thought is to take revenge on the man who is marrying his ex-wife, Tess. Terry Benedict is the owner of 3 of the biggest Las Vegas Casinos (Bellagio, Mirage, and MGM Grand) and is wealthy enough to prove it. For now. Daniel has spent his years in jail thinking of a perfect team and plan to rob Benedict of all the money stashed in the Bellagio vault. With the help of 10 of the best thieves, he has 2 weeks to successfully access the world’s strongest vault and walk out of the casino unnoticed carrying over $163 million. But Ocean doesn’t stop there. He offers a trade of the stolen money for the girl back. Tess watches Benedict eagerly agree to make the trade, and Ocean ends up with the money and the girl.
This is by far my favorite movie. I’d recommend this movie for anybody over the age of 13. The intricacies of the plot has the watcher on the edge of their seat throughout the entire film. My first time watching it confused me so much, that I had to watch it again to better connect the pieces of the puzzle. Don’t let this deter you. You’ll want to watch it again and again.

Surf’s Up
ROBERT’S REVIEW
A true testament of friendship, and the impact a role model. Main character Cody is intrigued by the sport of surfing when his role model “Big Z” personally gives him a necklace. From that moment on, he’s been living in the water and floating atop each and every wave that comes his way. His talent gets recognized and brings him to the biggest surfing competition there is. Through an injury, he reunites with his role model, “Big Z” who was presumed dead for several years prior. Stubborn Z refuses to assist Cody until his potential is revealed, and impresses the former professional. They work together to make Cody a board that will serve him well in his competition, and in the process, bring Big Z back from the “dead.”
The movie is clearly geared for a younger crowd but has a few subtle jokes that would entertain anybody over the age of 15. The lessons it teaches are very strong and potentially useful for young children. Personally, I don't see myself watching this movie again, but I’m happy I watched it. It’s a worthwhile watch.

Surf’s Up
EVA’S REVIEW
Surf’s Up is a childs movie about a penguin, Cody Maverick, who is from a very cold ice land who wants to be a surfer. He idolizes the biggest surfer around named “Big Z”. He ends up getting chosen to go to a big surfing competition in a sunny place and meets his pals Chicken Joe, the cute lifeguard Lani, and becomes best friends with his idol “Big Z”. Through the story Cody learns what’s really important about surfing and how to have fun with it.
This movie is kind of written as if it was a fake documentary. The way the camera work is and the lines they wrote for the characters show as if we are watching a documentary about this big surfing competition. I personally thought the humor was dry, not my style, but still pretty good. I would highly recommend this to ages 4-13 and maybe for families who want a casual movie to watch. I don’t believe I will watch this movie again anytime soon but it’s still a good movie.

Paul Blart Mall Cop
EVA’S REVIEW
Paul Blart Mall Cop is about an overweight mall cop who believes that his job is very important. The mall that he is guarding ends up getting taken over and robbed so Paul Blart steps up to the job and saves the day. This film was a strange combination of action and comedy with little romance towards the end.
I thought that this movie was funny, but not my style. It was really corny and a little hard to be intrested and stay focused on that movie. I would recommend this movie for little kids maybe ages 7-11 and families. I would also strongly reccomend this movie to 40 year old dad’s who love corny stuff and love to make dad jokes. This movie embodies the personality of every stereo-typical barbeque dad who wants to be a hero too.

Paul Blart Mall Cop
ROBERT REVIEW:
This movie was a complex combination of romance, comedy, and action, all piled into one cinematic piece of art. Our heroic main character, Paul Blart, can’t help but feel a romantic connection to a new kiosk worker in the mall. Unfortunately, his efforts to impress the woman go very poorly and end in extreme embarrassment. It’s only when thieves plan to rob each and every store in the mall, and take hostages along as self-protection, that Blart is able to finally get recognition. Naturally, Paul Blart refuses to watch from the outside and takes action into his own hands as a final effort to impress the woman of his dreams. He saves the mall, gets the girl, and earns the title of hero.
Though the movie was very well done, I felt as though it would better suit a much younger crowd. Perfect for ages 6-12 years old. I like to think of this movie as Die Hard but for children. It offers the thrill of a dangerous hostage situation but still closes with a happy ending for the audience.
