I'm just gonna say this for every one. It's okay to be disappointed. If this is not how you pictured those characters growing up, it makes sense you are going to be disappointed. Thats fine and normal and how you are feeling is absolutly valid.
The series and the books are totally different mediums for a story. They are not the same one. This is a new pjo story, in a different medium for a different generation of kids. And that's fine.
I hope this show will be a good one, for all of the 12 year olds to enjoy and grow up on. But, the show and the books can and should co-exist.
So yeah we can have our old trio just the way they were and have this new trio tell their own story.
I'm not going to change the characters I grew up on, but I hope to see what these new story and chracters are going to be
